Excellent! I just changed the speed with notepad++ for now, for a dev release it's surprisingly not broken.

Just wanted to thank you for awesome mod, very intersesting ships with cool design and good art, rock on!
Do you plan to add D-class red versions of your ships? That would be awesome as pirates need extra variety.

One thing though, Raksasha Bomber Wing description states that it's used by SRA privateers, but with an ungodly low speed of 6 , I don't think that the privateers will catch up to anyone (possibly 0.65 speed entry).

Suggestions / Faster time acceleration for speedy rigs
« on: December 03, 2015, 04:04:09 AM »
Make time acceleration with Shift key faster, maybe variable with + and - keys.
Sometimes scouting for pirates, getting that one bounty in the far other end of the two-star system, playing "Sector Trucker 206" or waiting for wardec. in Excelerin the accelerated time still feels too slow.
Make it more like in M&B with 5x acceleration option, I'm sure my rig could handle it and I wouldn't mind some stutter.

It seems that in latest release Volturn consumes 26% more lobster than it produces with 0 exports,
For the resource to have any use in the game Volturn should produce about 10-20 times more of it and it should be with a far higher base price to be worth it compared to organs or drugs.
Being the only palace that actually produce it, it's a wonder anyone actually knows enough about it to desire it.
You'd think they would sell it as it's 40 times more expensive as normal food.
I guess it's just so good that they can't help themselves  ;D

1. Put all your xp points to crew training
1. Make a fleet of passenger liners with some defensive frigates
2. load the liners full of green crew (each big one can carry whopping 7000 crew!)
3. Fight Pirates and Luddies
4. Sell veteran crew for big money
5. Profit!

Would this daring and adventurous plan work?

Bug Reports & Support / Re: BTM Micro won't let me buy the game

It would be a good way to hone my nonexistent spoken English skills but I think I'd just come across incoherent. (Maybe I'll try that after I get my C1 cert. when I finish my semester, as a little "test of fire")

Bug Reports & Support / BTM Micro won't let me buy the game
« on: December 02, 2015, 12:11:06 PM »
I order the game as usual with a Mastercard that I have had for over a year and I think have never canceled a payment from.
This is what they respond to me with:

We are unable to complete your order for:

Qty Product  Description                                Price     Discount     Subtotal
1   65980000 Starsector (formerly "Starfarer")      EUR 15.31     EUR 0.00    EUR 15.31

Our automated fraud screening service detected an unusually high risk with processing
your order. There are many factors that can trigger this situation, for example your
bank may have had problems with fraud which unfortunately triggered this for your
purchase although your payment method may be perfectly fine. However, in circumstances
like these, we are unable to process the order on-line and ask that you please call
us at +1-910-792-9100 to place the order or FAX it to +1-910-792-1889. Alternatively,
please feel free to try another payment method or card if that is an option to you.

Please note that your order was declined prior to the credit card charge being
completed.   If an authorization was obtained during order processing the authorization
has been released by BMT Micro and the charge will automatically be removed by
your credit card issuer.

If you attempted to pay by Paypal no funds will be taken from your account.

BMT Micro, Inc. Customer Support

I guess the easiest solution is to let someone else buy it for me and hope they don't arbitrarily cancel the order,
but this kind of stuff is what deters potential buyers so heads up for devs to maybe implement alternative payment options in the future.
