We could just make planets & space stations destructible and constructible, and have them in accord modifications like the ships we normally use as a fleet, while Market conditions used as makeshift Hullmods for said planets & space stations.

Also, Shipbreaking should have its own configuration window.

I don't like fighters having timers at all.

They make them too disposable to use when you send them out to battle.

Is there a ship type limit to the game?  Like, a limited amount of Medusas to exist in total?

I wanted to make an armada full of Medusas, but so far I've only managed to buy 4 or 5.  I've been checking Tibicena every month.

Is it just a matter of time before I can get 20+ Medusas?  Or is that just impossible? 
Sounds like you would like the called Omnifactory! Once you add it, it will produce any ship you "feed" it

And then build millions of drones to end up consuming the entire galaxy with your powerful might. :3

Download Here

Version 0.2.2:
  • Two new freighter ships available, Chimly C and Nimbus.
  • Also, new Praetorian variants. Stronger and more efficient than my standard ships in the faction.
    • Praetorian Gryphon and Molluscs.
    • Praetorian and Elite Praetorian Breezes.
  • All Oculian members in the faction now have their own names and portraits.

Well, only females at the moment. :p

And no, I don't want Praetorians in the simulation yet.

Weapons do, ships don't. The easiest way to get their stuff is to fight them, capture a ship and use your Omnifactory to crank out tons. Granted, you lose a really great refueling/resupply station in hyperspace by doing that.

Actually, the Red mod's Black Market ships beg to differ.
