Right, I'll work on them.

Additionally, I am aware that Breezer Rounds is causing a lot problems by just existing. So, it's best to stay away from that hullmod until I get the patch up and running. Expect nerfs, since it does a little too well for a raw Damage increase hullmod.



Edit:
Patch may break saves,
but Mission tab would likely do, as it removes the outdated Burning Sensation mission.

This update changes the economy of how the ships are handled and juggled some ship modules.

      Scrapped the outdated Burning Sensation mission.
   Ships:
      (Significant change) All XLU ships will receive a base increase of maintenance and recovery cost of roughly 20%* (some can be lower or higher than this value). This directly increases deployment costs.
      Added Heatflux Chamber Feed hullmod.
      Added the 40th Ultra Battlegroup, one variant for each ship size.
         Meant for an elite expirement for Blue's roster. If it works out they'll be kept.
         These ship vary from direct upgrades to radical sidegrades.
      XLU Armorclad Works:
         Supply Maintenance penalty removed.
         Supply Maintenance and Recovery cost reduction of 30% added to compensate the increased deployment cost.
      Lanestate Breezer Rounds:

This update comes with new script changes and an altered ship.
So, there's a possibility it will crash save.


Also, this is the return of the long awaited removed elite units, expect a bit of a spike when fighting some fleets.

Perhaps since their lore is (from what i've gathered) kinda rogue ai'ish i'd defnitely be down to see some glitched versions of the current portraits kinda like what the [REDACTED] admirals look like

I've taken this in and made all 6 of the portraits in a glitched state. Since I kinda know how to do it now.

Updating still broke my save. Got an error about a Kaolinite slot.

I'm sorry, I had to make the changes were to make the other ships up to date with the current version of game. It's best to keep the current version until the run is done.

Small bug: the included config folder for Industrial Evolution is named 'indiEvo' and not recognized; it should be 'indEvo'.

If there is a way to condemn things in a D&D thing, I would have done it to my fingers already.

Edit: Scratch that, after noticing the ship's use. The removal was reversed.
Hoping it won't break saves still.

Known Issues:
   Auto-assign does weird things on weapons that go above the standard amount a ship could have.

any chance of making another version without the anime portraits or is there a way to remove them manually. Personally i'm just not a fan of having this dark, gritty universe then proceeding to have a blood red hatsune miku obliterate my fleet. Other than that though I really like the mod :D

Sure, I'll post a faceless variant, with only the Oculian bot as the actual portrait.

Though the lore kinda writes it in that the Armada has this animesqe physique was more of a marketing purpose to sell their cookies. Additionally the idea of the cookies itself, the faction's premise, is fairly a dead giveaway where the faction already went to.

i just played with this mod for the first time and i have to say... imbalanced... I am sorry to say but some of the ships are simply without a counter, or atleast one that i can figure out.

Seriously this mod is a walking cheat. Maybe list in the description that it is completely impossible to beat some of the most basic cruisers with any weapons in the game upto date..... sorry but this mod is simply not for me.

There isn't really a way to convince you otherwise, nor this mod will ever intend to get anywhere near being balanced in such a way. It's not really my intention nor the original author's goal anyway.

I kinda just wanted to make cheap ships that zoom around fast while still being too weak unshielded to stand around for over a few seconds. And watch how many fighters could fill an entire screen without actually look too broken or how far would some builds like a Frigate with a very big gun can still compete against the more complicated ones. Fun fact: The Gretly, that same frigate, just dies when it rams once to an Atlas test dummy.

Thanks for at least trying out the mod, some criticism really helps set a boundary that tells me if I go too far with these ships. Or at least if I could ever see it. .m.

Lots of fun stuff in this new update!  Could it be possible though to have the bonus crew have their full effect if you have the commission crew bonus from the Union?  After all that bonus is already described as having a set of elite XLU gunners on board so I'd imagine the special crew mods could easily be justified as working fully?

I'll see if I could do something about this. It's a bit of experiment to work around unrestricted hullmods, which should be interesting.

So, was the Alum intended to be nigh-on immortal when it activates the system? I don't think anything frigate-sized should be able to sustain over ten seconds of concentrated firepower from nearly every gun on an Anthracite and still be alive. Actually, I'd be inclined to say that nothing short of a dreadnought or particularly tanky capital should be able to do that.

Like, it's extremely noticeable how the Alum basically turns itself into an unkillable brick with consistent regularity whenever anything remotely threatening approaches. The amount of time invested in killing them was funny the first three times, but I'm on number thirty and it's less humorous.

I've thrown Charges at it to curb the pebble, hopefully.

After XLU, choosing a ship;
Is it faster than a cruiser? (optional)
How many Kalis fighters it can field?

I think I found an issue.  The game crashes when I try to shift click a bunch of gattler guns into a fire group.  Happens no matter what it seems

Would you specify which ship you are referring to?

If it happens to be a ship with modules (like the Gadolinite, Anthracite or Diaboleite), I'm afraid I can't solve that one, it happens to other mods that have ships with modules that happened to have scroll bar for the Fire Group as well.

The only way I know to mitigate the issue was to scroll down for the UI to "see" every gun in the Fire Group window before auto-assigning them.

Known Issues:
   Game WILL crash if you auto-assign weapons on a ship with modules when the UI has not seen all the weapons on the ship (must be scrolled all the way down). Vanilla issue.
   Some ships with modules will unintentionally switch over to other module variants should the existing variants be more than 2.

I've recently picked up and started to enjoy this mod, but I've noticed a couple issues. The Duralumin class lacks any kind of description and the Macrolloy's system doesn't seem to work right in ai hands. It just uses it once and is incapable of toggling it off, even when given a retreat order.

Upon further inspection this is almost certainly caused by the system using the "WEAPON_BOOST" ai type. No vanilla weapon affecting system is a toggle, and all the other siege systems I've seen have a custom ai script.

And yes, Duralumin's missing description is a pet peeve of mine that I somehow forget to put up. I'll get to it. While the new Macrolloy's Curator still needs a bit of practice on my end since I barely understand the coding to make one up for it. But it is coming soon, hopefully.

The Quilfling Rack Launchers aren't classified under XLU weapons.

Right. It's done.

The hotfix also includes the Breeze Rounds version 2, Mattock's re-sprite and Cobalt's revision. Inclining the Cobalt to be more of a boxer ship than just a bullet wall.
