Suggestions / Chain of Command

I was thinking about this recently. What if the game has a chain of command for ship officers? For example, once an officer reaches level 5, they become a commander, gaining a special trait that determines how many officers he can have under his command. Those officers would not count towards your officer cap, but theirs instead. Perhaps once officers become a commander, they can now level up further, gaining traits that effect their command abilities and the combat effectiveness of all ships under their command. This could introduce some fun things regarding bonuses to specific ship classes and such to incentivize having a commander command the same kind of ships.

As a side note not necessarily related, adding some skills to make it so its worthwhile having an officer on a non combat vessel would be also cool.

For some reason when i back out to the main menu and try to load a save the game crashes, but it loads perfectly fine when i restart the game.

I had this cool but totally random idea.

Since pristine hulls are hard to come by in the new update, there should be a more reliable way to get them than going around the universe looking for them in random markets.

If you win the auction you would have to go to where it was ad it would be sitting in storage.

What do you guys think?

For me, it's a tie...

First, a dominator with no missiles, mjolnir cannons, front 3 smalls as lux carbines and the rest small mounts PD

The other is a nevermore with for dual shard cannons, four of the blackrock LRM MIRVS (can't remember the names ATM), PD in small energizes, Dont remember what I put in the middle medium ATM, heavy armor and auxiliary thrusters, its OP as hell.

i had recently fully reset my laptop and tried to reinstall starsector but when i entered my code it didn't fit and it didn't work

i get a fatal:null error when i try to create a new world

Suggestions / Special pirate crew

I thought of this because it didn't make much sense for pirates to have dedicated marines to board ships, so I was think of a hybrid between a regular crew and a marine, it would be balanced by having a ship primarily commanded by pirate crew recover combat readiness slower and also have 3/4 the effectiveness of regular marines. They would also be more expensive to buy if you're not a pirate and some factions when scanning you would lose reputation by you harboring the pirate crew

I made this thread to hear what people think would be a cool 1v1 battle (if the ship is a carrier it has fighters/bombers) of ships in game Vs. ships from other franchises.

To start this off ill be referring to a really old mod, i would like to see the TTS Omega Vs. an Executor Super Star Destroyer

Modding / I have a cool mod idea

I have an idea for a mod, it would have ships from a game called FTL: Faster Than Light. But I do not have the skill nor the software for spriting, coding, etc. ::) So for those that do not know the game each ship would have four weapon mounts (not sure what size yet) and PD drones. I want to make this a  ship/weapon mod not a total conversion (It would be nice but I don't want to stress the people that help) and it would add all (If not most) of the ships/weapons from the game.
