One more note--the number of messages that the mod generates can be a bit overwhelming.

One last question--does this mod suffer from the same vanilla bug where stations stop acquiring goods and ships after a short time?  I hate having to cheat myself millions of credits to buy out all the useless *** they acquire for every station every two months or so of playtime.  It takes a long time in Vanilla and the number of stations in this mod will make it very long indeed.

What an epic mod.  Thanks for putting all of the work of our very talented mod community into one compatible package.

Just started playing with this and it works great so far.  Starting as Thule with a Viking is seriously OP, though, and even if you don't like that awesome ship, its worth 23k, so you can buy almost any frigate off the bat, like a Hyperion after one or two battles.

I should also note for the record: this mod is fantastic.  Easily the best ship sprites on the board, and that's saying something.  We have a lot of talented sprite artists here!

That's all it does then?  No movement boost, damage reduction, etc?  If so, then yeah, it really needs some more time in the oven.

An short term armor boost and a tiny bit or armor repair might round it out.  Armor repair probably would make it OP actually, andlet people run away and let their Rune charge and completely recover their armor before heading back to a fight.  So maybe an active defense armor boost coupled with the system repair would be the best option.

What exactly does RUNE do?  It's not in the systems codex page, in the OP, or explained coherently in game.  What does nanoalloy mean?  It's such an integral part of their fleet and its not explained anywhere!

I've got a bad feeling...

The sudden name change...
The withdrawal and lack of updates...
All the drugs.  All the booze.  All the wild nights with floozies.

Does Starfarer have a problem?
Starfarer, your family loves you.  Come back to us.

You should really release a version of this mod without the two capitals and maybe taking a second look at balance over all classes.  I like the ships and the guns, but the poor balance makes the mod functionally a cheat mod.  Really would like to play with some of the ships though!

It's less a question of being technically or grammatically correct and more on keeping a standard lexicon to maintain easy user interaction.

I agree.  These ideas are a great start to addressing the issue.

@Reshy

I'm not sure what you mean at all?  Why would Minecraft having a browser friendly development architecture have anything to do with Starsector?

Star****er is already a copyrighted song by NIN, so he'd run into the same issues there as well.

Mwaha.

Not at all too curt--I'm a firm believer that people appreciate finality regardless of whether they like the content of the answer.

The thing is, Goth, why ask people to stop asking and say it will have no effect when you go on to say that you're just working on that assumption?  Using the language of probablies and likelies while demanding that people stop asking because they're doing no good on account of forementioned probablies and likelies is beyond bizarre.

No one is saying anything beyond "I liked the old name more" and "I wonder why this happened so suddenly, I hope Alex can say why?
To which I would add--I hope Alex would say that he' s not able to disclose the story if that is the case.  While discussing reasoning is often against terms of an NDA, as is disclosing that an NDA is in place, I've never encountered one that stipulates that a developer may not say "I can't discuss that" without mentioning that the reason is one of the terms of a confidentiality agreement.
