I just usually go where the loot takes me to start with. Typically I'll shoot for carriers late since I play heavily modded and the mod packs have great fighters. Last Nex run my flagship was a Pandemonium I found floating.

So tldr, overwhelming force.

I've noticed that tons and tons and tons of salvage/scavenger (not the faction) fleets have been spawning in my game. Would this be a Dynasector thing, a Nex thing or a vanilla thing? :s

A quick question, Whenever let's say, faction A captures faction B's market, do they get to spawn ships of faction B from that market? I know the captured market still sells ships and weapons of the previous occupying faction, but what about the NPC fleets that spawn from that market?

They'll be Faction A ships. When a faction caps a market, it's best to empty it out of the previous faction's shop items if you want them because from then on, only 'Faction A' stuff will spawn.

Something I did notice that might be contributing to the crash is that there's a pirate base very close to some non-pirate markets, and so many fights have broken out that tons and tons of scavenger fleets keep spawning.

I've been getting the hard crash every few saves, usually when the game crests ~5GB, even with vmparams set higher (currently have it at 7 as I keep testing).

I wish I had seen this thread sooner, I made a separate one about what's likely the same issue. I've uploaded a save to Drive that should be able to replicate it every few saves depending on how gamestate goes.

Okay, I'm not sure if this is a Nex thing or a vanilla thing, but even with my vmparams set to 7GB I keep getting an eventual game-crashing memory leak. The hell?

It happens after every few saves I make in a largely-modded Nex game.

Oh, and I've been able to reproduce this in both Random Sector mode and normal mode.

There's no starsector.log entry because of how the crash went down. I'm guessing it's either some sort of memory issue, possibly VRAM since it happens no matter how much system memory I give it, or a driver issue. It's somewhat random though and only when I go to save after a long session with other quicksaves throughout.

I have limited experience with this incarnation of them, but their fighters are very strong from what little I've been able to find.

Also, Ophiuchus is a wonderful superboss. Any chance to make it a roamer or a sectioned-out boss like stations?

These all feel really nice to fly and fight, especially the Manta; it kinda fills an early game niche in the Sunder/Hammerhead tier.
