AND if I am not mistaken, in.54.1 every ship you defeated did the "5 percent chance to be able to board" roll so big fleets had more chances. But now it is not only a SINGLE roll of 5 percent to get a boarding chance but now the ship is "mostly" randomly chosen AND you have to deal with random chance events that will not only kill your boarding party but also servery damage if not outright destroy your ship if you hard dock and since we are give vague descriptions about the difference between the chances of capture using hard dock and sending them over, most people, I would think, would choose hard dock

What's a Prometheus? Is it a mod ship or do I have a memory blank?

Either way, the Conquest because when you have the speed advantage of any opponent that poses a threat, you are completely in control of the outcome.
I think it is the capital class version of the tankers.

Auto-resolve itself could be improved so that's not feasible to do... but eh.
Ahhh, I see! Makes sense although It would have been nice to have just fixed the exploit, especially now with the bigger maps

I too have seen the +4 burn bug and I think it is because what SHOULD happen with the two fleets is swapped around

Thanks for the feedback! Wrote a couple of things down :)

An "engineer" crew type is a really neat idea, will keep that one in mind.
I will +1 to the "auto fire" for omni shields! I find them worthless to use and only like them when their arc is 150+ because it means that I can get full coerage

I've had 5 boarding events thus far (over a period of too-many-hours-for-my-own-good).

Tried long-distance marine launch once. Ship ran away and I lost a few marines.
Tried dock-and-board three times. Ship self-destructed once, was damaged beyond repair twice.
Decided to just sink the potential boardee once. Ship ran away.

So either the RNG just really hated me that day, or (IMO at least) the boarding event chances are a bit off.
I agree with you that the boarding RNG is FUBAR (5 or 6 boarding chances and they ALL went boom...) Something is just not right

I feel like this makes frigates into something that you have many of, and call in what you need for the event, or continually cycle them in and out or something.

Actually, im pretty sure it was entirely designed to balance the hyperion.

I have to ask why the ESC command got changed to what it is from the auto resolve? Was it a problem with the AI or something?

TBH, this is one of the areas where I think things need to be improved.

Ship prices for the high end (cruiser+) should be considerably higher and ramped differently, imo, so that capturing one is finally more attractive than buying one.  

Right now, it's the inverse.  I had enough money to buy any of the capships in less than an hour of play, but saw no reason to actually buy one, and only one Capture event that entire time.  I think Capture needs to happen more often, be higher-risk if you don't have Marines, and ship prices need to be changed so that the incentives are different.
I actually registered to say something about this... (long time lurker, first time poster)
 It seems to me that boarding has become almost worthless now... For one their buying price is that of a freaking ELITE crew member!
AND they burn 12 credits per day PER PERSON! I made the mistake of carrying around around 200 marines as that is what I did in .54 and with a high tech cap and a cruiser with 400 mostly Elite crew, I was burning 24 supplies a day and 20 of those were from the marines!
And even WHEN I get boarding actions they ALL self destruct! I have hit about 6 or so boarding events and I have yet to get a ship from one because they all went boom... it seems like there is WAYYY too much luck involved with boarding now. I don't know the "chance to selfdestruct"  but with the new changes it feels like it has been nerfed into the void... Of course this is just my .02 USD
