the description of the Legate reads that it has as a main mount, a "Targe Autolaser" (I suspect it's Large) that sweeps the battlefield for missiles, fighters and the like. On testing, it appears that this main weapon does not exist, or does not work.

as a ship, it also has less OP (70 vs ~100) than other destroyers of the same DP cost, and is terribly weak.

while not part of the Yuri faction, this mod adds a midline ship called the Raven, which is a kind of Eagle variant. I tried it, and I think it's terrible. The Raven is an interesting concept, in that it comes with detachable armor pieces with weapons underneath, which stop malfunctioning once the armor is shot off.

however, in practice, by the time the armor of the Raven is destroyed, it is almost dead, and unless the armor is destroyed, the Raven is unable to use most of its weapons. The only way I got the Raven to work was to jettison all the detachable armor at the start of battle, so the Raven could use all its weapons, but the game ai does not do this, so it has to be done manually. This is not a feasible way to use the ship, since it forces one to either pilot the ship yourself or to shuttle in between Ravens, as with their armor on, they have less utility than most frigates.

where do you get the special ship? I finished the quest and did not get the ship at all. was it on the guy?

you need to salvage it from the guy you defeat. Feedback suggests it does not always appear on the salvage screen. I did not create the mod, I only translated it, so I don't know how to fix this.

Hi, how low is the chance that you will get the quest Ship? i think i'm now 30 trys without it and yes i know i can you a console command.

reminds me of the IBB Gulf from diable, I couldn't get the ship to drop until I gave up.

I took a short look at the files from diable and compared them to SWP, but I could not figure out how to make a ship always salvagable. If anyone knows kindly tell me.

Anyone happen to know what's supposed to happen after the quest? I select a choice, unsure of what it changes, go kill a dude in a big 'ol fleet and then nothing. I checked all three Valkyrian planets and did not find anything.

The quest choice affects the hullmod you get on the special ship. There's no continuation after that.

Thank you for the translation! I apologize if the question has been answered somewhere, but is the mod safe to be added into an ongoing game?

you are welcome, although I translated it mainly for myself, because I kind of ran out of mods I wanted to add to a new game and I thought this one looked pretty good, but no one wanted to translate it. I also created the anime portrait replacer add on because of my own taste.

I cannot say I have tried for this mod, but what generally happens if you add faction mods mid game is that their ships and weapons get added but the faction system does not spawn, so although it likely will not break the game, it is not recommended.

So they give you a mission to do something and bring them 3 Yoshura capital ships? Is this just poorly translated? I cheated and turned 3 in and that works, but how are players supposed to actually get the ships? (read the codex and that wasnt helpful either....)

they should occasionally be sold on Valkyrian military markets. You can also salvage them from bounties. Currently, as of version 3.2.2, the ships are accepted regardless of their condition and number of d mods. The end reward for the quest should be a special Yoshura capital ship.

I just released rc5 of the English version. The main differences are smoothening of translations since rc1, but also importantly, the .jar file was edited in order to translate the mission tactical briefings, something I did not realize I had to do before. To retain compatibility I did not recompile the jar file, but rather edited the bytecode, so there should not be any problems. This should be the end of any untranslated parts of the mod, but let me know if any are found.

not a bug, but I wish to bring to your attention the inconsistency between sticker missile damage across mounts of various sizes. Small is 75, medium is 50.

thanks for your mod. It is an interesting way to implement shieldless ships, and overall I had fun with it.

the weeb portraits are not part of the original mod, but I made them.

how they were made:

step 1: get an ai to generate a portrait of a Valkyrie in space


step 2: fix the image with an image editor (in this case, microsoft paint)


step 3: remove background using online tool

stop 4: shrink image to 128x128

each portrait took anywhere from several hours to several days, and altogether took longer than the translation itself. It was my first 'portrait pack', but I hope you guys enjoy it.

All translations were reviewed for correctness and clarified if they referred to in-game objects. All portraits have gone through modification using (mainly) microsoft paint to fix flaws, overall logic and balance of the images, a process that took between several hours to several days per portrait.
