Do you set up a "home base" in a system in the early game? If so where? Do you move your "base" to your colony system after you set up a colony?

I used Mayasura's free storage as my base before, but now I prefer Corvus's empty space station. Although I like Mayasura's location, Corvus is also central, it has a gate, and the storage is right next to Asharu so you can easily change logistics hullmods or sell excess junk if needed.

Trick is to get few million credits before you start your first colony and build military base/ high command ASAP.

how does increasing repair rate by 50% increases it by 33% instead?

i was also confused and then i went and calculated it... makes sense. Somehow... dont ask me why it makes sense, but it does.

S-modded ARU is 75% repair time reduction, so 4 times faster than normal.

Elite DC doesn't increase repair speed, but it allows the repairs to start faster. Normally you only start repairing modules after they've stopped taking damage, elite DC removes that requirement.

Usually s-modded ARU leads to much faster repairs, but if you are continuously taking damage (ion beam pointing at you, etc), elite DC will result in more weapon uptime overall.

In that case having both of them would be insane. Does that also include EMP-ed weapons?

Good job spotting this just from observation :) This is actually correct and the descriptions of the effects are different.

ARU: "Reduces the time required to repair disabled weapons and engines (in combat) by 50%" -> reduces the total time to repair by half, i.e. repairs are twice as fast, equivalent to 100% faster repair rate.

DC: "50% faster in-combat weapon and engine repairs" -> the repair rate is only 50% faster, this is equivalent to reducing the total repair time by 33%.

Was about to write how did you get 33% faster repair time, but then i saw its the REPAIR RATE that gets boosted by 50% and depending on how fast that rate is results in time spend repairing .

So Automated RU is better then Damage Control regarding time needed to repair.

What about DC Elite version and build in ARU ??

Is there anywhere a list of explenations like these ones, beacuse they are prety confusing imo.

Hello!

Description says that both of them take 50% of repair time down and when i put it to the test, DC takes a good seconds longer then Automated Repair Unit.

Do we have a list of game mechanics regarding how does Damage get calculated ( Elite systems expertise gives you 10% decease damage taken. Is that calculated at end or before damage goes trough armor )

Also, what about Ballistic expertise. What kind of weapons does it effect? Points defense? Heawy machine guns, devastator cannons ? they are anti fighters type of a weapons... etc.

I would like those questions resolved.

Hey lads.

I just got one of my colonys annihilated and i was wondering if any of you managed to defend from the attack.
That being said, that the colonlys military was strong enough to defend on its own.
NO AI pls.

Yea, thers a solution, but still... 14 fleets? I mean the whole Arcadia is being defended by by maybe 6 major fleets and that is a whole system with 4 planets.

And here we have a blockade lauched from a single Persean colony and it its just overwhelming.

I dont want to nag about it, but it seems exagerated.

Hi Lads!

14 Fleets just arrived in my colony that has only mining and farming and is being blockaded by Persean League.
We are talking about at least 14 capital ships, etc.

It says that blockade will end once they leave or i defeat them. Defeat them... ahm

Hi lads!

I got a question about target anaylsis.

Does capital ship in description include bases also or not?
That being said, does elite version of it also includes 100% more dmg to bases weapons or not?
