Mods / Re: Tore Up Plenty - Alternate Starting Ships
« on: March 07, 2013, 08:01:35 PM »

Naw he said that he would stick low to mid tech ships. It seems that this ships might actually start out weaker then as the player progresses so will their functionality; as you level up you get enough OP to actually outfit them properly. He did add a drone bay to the foxhound if that what you meant by ship systems.

Is the Sachumodo a Capital by any chance? And if so is there any particular ETA?

Indeed good sir, if I can draw your attention to the 4 large ballistic points I think you will understand your sillyness. Oh btw is this in the newest build of Uomoz's Corvus 17.1?

Did indeed enjoy 7/10
the beginning is a bit slow, but it does what is intends to do

35
Alright, if it is that hard to get the unsung, I think it balances out.
Let it is stay an endgame ship, just make it hard as hell to get.

36
I think since it a general lack of ranged ballistic weapons that put the anteduvilians at a disadvantage

I propose the as the final ultra super super boss.

make some rudimentary anti-cheat system and when a player is caught cheating in some way (credits, experience, or w/e) or is in devmode, spawn the stupid and have it hunt the player endlessly.

Or if you want I can whip up something even more ridiculous.
Oh god how terrifying. I however do want The Stupid to be in. Is it possible to be more ridiculous?

Suggestions / Re: AI slips/player tricks report thread
« on: February 25, 2013, 07:33:04 PM »
Trick I've been using to get around faster with larger ships - when you use maneuveringjets (this also goes for the zero flux bonus) and it runs out, you can keep your extra speed by simply not using your engines anymore. So I can rocket down to the enemy fleet with +75 extra speed until I get to them, then just press forward or back, along with C, to deeaccelerate in no time. Having a Conquest rocket across the map with over 100 speed is awesome :D

Any word on this?

It is a part of the game for a reason, the AI utililzes to their benefit as well. You will also notice that this speed increase is immedietly removed when you boost in any direction. Also realize that this game is in space so as a result there is no friction and things can shimmy all over the place to their hearts' desires.

Seems like a pretty cool idea. Maybe more along the lines of ftl's random events and missions that occur. I would also suggest that the suggestion board is more receptive place to put this suggestion

Edit: Nvm Gothars got it done himself

Suggestions / Re: Suggestion for Carriers

Oh my bad, not destroyed wings, but disabled meaning that if a single fighter's wreck survives the battle then it is almost guaranteed to be repaired. For your question about the stats just like the stats about them increasing repair speed, I do not believe is accessible without delving into the code, something that I am a bit to incompetent to accomplish. If you do need proof you could try it yourself ???, I myself speak from captaining an Astral with no points in the repair character skill, getting my broadswords back 50-60 percent of the time.

They do.
Edit: They increase the chance of repairing disabled/destroyed wings. Also your second suggestion sounds more like a ship system or hull mod suggestion http://fractalsoftworks.com/forum/index.php?topic=5290.0 that old thread probably needs a nice bump anyway.

For your first suggestion, they already do.
