================  Custom Builders =======================
This is the company I bought a "SAGER NP9170" which I love and can upgrade easily on my own. Many options, amazing customer support and VERY good build quality.
Very high class builders, very good builds and has several options.
Many options and several different brands, not as flashy but solid builds.

For 4000$ you could get a a laptop that supports SLI (2 gfx cards) and a high end i7 Extreme. I suggest getting one card now then saving the money for when the TITAN cards go mobile. Malibal offers a dual gfx laptop.

Discussions / Re: Lucid dreaming.

BIG warning to anyone who is trying this! If you get a good hold of a lucid dream you'll have a feel for whats up with your physical body DO NOT try to open your eyes from your dream.

You will have the absolute worst nightmare and be completely conscious of your senses, basically you will get your sense of touch, smell, etc back but still be in your dream and no, no good things come out of it.

Two years ago I made a mistake of trying to open my eyes to get out of a dream and instead went straight into the worst nightmare of my life. Summed up, I was dragged out of bed by something and thrown up against a wall and what I felt was horrible, it wasn't sharp pain but it was a very intense pressure. Usually I could end a dream or influence it, but that dream was different. That was the first nightmare I had since I was 11 years old and I still remember it perfectly 2 years later.

And about starting to have lucid dreams... When you wake up from a dream, lay where you are and don't move, think hard about your dream, going over details and what happened while keeping a sense of when it happened in the dream. Be careful about lucid dreaming tho, your brain does a lot more than you know, the subconscious brain is MUCH bigger then your conscious, don't do something that your not confident with

Add me "The10thCircle". Not for the giveaway, just for friends lol  ;D

Ok killed my first couple of ships i have a wolf class frigate and i stole an assault chaingun mk2 but i cant seem to find a mount point for it? I was thinking of replacing that laser at the front

Crud just reffering to the faq I bet its to do with this:

Blue circles are Energy slots.
Yellow squares are Ballistic weapons
Green squares are Missile slots
Grey multishape are "universal"

and thats before i go back into game

Correct, so in order to use that chain-gun you need a ship that has a ballistic point. There's also small, medium and large sized points on ships.
I believe the chain-gun mk2 is a medium ballistics weapon. Just play around for a little with everything to get a hang of it  ;D

Anyone know of any good games that are similar to towns or dwarf fortress, but maybe more thorough/better?

I was just trying to make a second drone_terminator system(to start figuring out how things work) and started off by copying every terminator file and changing it to drone_terminatorX (id & name & file nam) and added a line into Shipdata and shipsystems, I also make a variant. I pretty much changed every terminator reference to terminatorX...

and i got this error...

What'd I do?

Let me guess - IGN, right? They are hosting the download without my permission, misrepresenting what it is by calling it a demo (in actuality, it's just an older version of the game), and getting in touch with anybody there to take it down is ... non-trivial. I'm sorry about the confusion.

That would become a non-issue if you were to publish a real demo. Any more concrete plans in that direction, or postponed towards the end of development?

Even a small demo has the advantage to stop people from falling in the *things we don't discuss here* trap as a replacement for a demo and then "forgetting" to buy it later on.

I'll be completely honest.

Suggestions / Re: Convert Weapon Mounts
« on: December 05, 2012, 07:20:30 PM »
Definitely not converting mounts, that's just a mess that that would be next to impossible to balance and would make things unrealistic.

Converting ships on the other hand, maybe replace "converting" with "upgrade" or something along those lines.

obviously the games getting a lot more ships with mods. But lets say you want to convert or upgrade a ship, maybe upgrade a ship to a stronger version. The industry skill line could have something to unlock upgrades to ships.
Industry skill:

Ship Construction. 2% cheaper construction of ships.

Lv 5: Convert Buffalo MK1s to MK2s.

Lv 10: Convert Tarsus to Condor.

Suggestions / Re: Big battles should be changed
« on: December 05, 2012, 07:09:20 PM »
Would be nice if there was a "huge battle" similar to the small battle where your whole fleet is pre deployed.

if both fleets are attacking this would be cool

Now there's a great idea... If both fleets are "committed to an all-out attack" every ship should be deployed.

Discussions / Re: Your favorite indie games?

Cortex Command is awesome, although it has disagreements with my graphics card on whether or not it should freeze up when I go full screen. Bastion makes me want narrators in every game I play. Minecraft is still technically indie (probably the biggest indie game that ever will be), and Terraria is fun as well. Gimbal is awesome, and so is The Binding of Isaac.

Terraria could of been so much better! after that Christmas update with the disco balls they just dropped it without any warning. Binding of Isaac seems like too much of a flash game to me
