I love whats happened to the game since I last played it like 6 years ago heh. Would be awesome as multiplayer too. Or even some kind of mmog 2d eve online.

anyway fantasy aside. Are there any star trek ship skins? If not is it as simple as getting a sprite and fixing it with hard points? Would love to fly the sus defiant as a destroyer in this.

I can't wait for this release, it'll be time to get back into SS, as I felt the campaign mode wasn't quite ready yet. Since all it really was, was kill who you could, keep gearing up your fleet...

As someone from a black country who is black, stop calling him African American, I can't believe people even accept that term. Do you call white people european american? If so why not. They are black. You people are so afraid of race issues you can't call a spade a spade?

Anyway here is advice. You have a job to do. Your candidate is to win. You are not a social service. If giving him the job is a detriment to the campaign in any way you have failed your obligation to your candidate and you should resign. This is not about his skin or his childhood. It is about is he good for the campaign. He can get a job somewhere else.

Hi guys, a Demo (based on the latest version 1.1 released today) is now available here from Gamefront

Regards the demo - It is the full game with the only restriction being that your ship is confined to a particular area. Going beyond it will transport you back. Think of it as a simulation. It allows you to do everything still and explore most of the features apart from full on exploration i.e. Mining, communicating, salvaging, engage enemies, upgrade and trade.

The demo also includes a 'battle mode'. When you activate it, you are transported safely further away from the station. From there instructions are given on what to do. But it will spawn waves of enemies once you begin.

You can choose between two ships up front, the corvette and the heavy cruiser. Your ship has also been upgraded for the demo. You have full access to all special abilities (lower right window) and it's shields, weapons, engines and armor have been upgraded to some of the best available to help you out when the battle mode gets tough. The mode probably won't get too tough until you've reached wave 10 or more :)

Hi, I am new to the game. Didn't realized it auto paused. Or didn't remember. Hadn't played in a long time.

But there is nothing on the screen saying game paused. When I pressed space, it said it had unpaused. But nothing to indicate it was actually paused. After a fight I think.

I edited vmparams with wordpad. Notepad kept asking to save it as a .txt which obviously wouldn't work.

I can't fly anywhere after 5 minutes. The game is still functioning. Just can't navigate. Menus open and everything. It even saves.

First thing I noticed when beginning a new game it says earlier in your 'carrier'. I believe you mean 'career'

Hi everyone, thanks to the authors for the wonderful mods which people enjoy. I am in the market for a mod, as I like the game but it just doesn't have the complete depth of the upcoming finished game in the future.

I only have time to go with one mod at a time, can anyone who has played this and Ironclad point out the differences in each? Pros cons? Thanks!

I agree, trying my best to help spread the word. I have been having a lot of fun with the bare bones tech demo. I mean it is wicked awesome the 'simulation' factor. I love how the weapons eat your ship apart, how you can see that happen from the inside, from the outside, so cool. I love how your oxygen is gone when the hull is breached and the crew slowly die...I put walls around my control centre in the event of hull breach, they breathed out the air in their apparently, it turned red too and they eventually died :)

This game would be so awesome multiplayer but it just as fun a sandbox game single player. The ship building is fun, and I just love the element the internal aspect adds. I am looking for a pilot for multiplayer if interested! The AI at this point can't be expected to cut it. Or gunner would be good!
