Haven't even found one yet. I confused survey mothership as the thing everyone was talkingg about, and brought a massive armada with mora cruisers and a bunch of other carriers. I was a tiny bit disapointed xD

Make sure you don't bloat your fleet with too many ships. At a certain point you're spending way too much on supplies and fuel because you feel the need to use EVERY single destroyer or cruiser you've salvaged. Really ups your margins when you go out on runs.

There's also a character perk that halves the amount of supplies used for maintenance.
I just realized this. I was doing survey missions with a large fleet, and 50 fuel usage a day. For survey and explorating. >_<;; maybe I don't need three moras, 2 condors and a bunch of other ships.
I was still profitting by taking two survey missions a time, but sheesh.

Yeah, the onslaughts control of the flow of battle is part of what makes the last hurrah mission so hard. It's burn drive lets it close range fast, and it becomes hard to out maneuver.

I ran into a peculiar issue for myself. I was exploring/surveying systems and salvaging probes/survey ships. Just as I'm about to leave the system, I give away some fuel to a stranded independent fleet with my transponder off. On my way back to civilization, a large fleet suddenly started following me. On instinct, I turned off my transponder. Out of curiosity, I saved my game, and turned off sburn so i could look at what the fleet is, and it's an independent salvager chasing me, yet not formerly hostile. Turning my transponder back on tells me it would reveal my hostile actuons to yhe independants, so i'm really confused. As far as I know, I didn't do anything.

Urch, Yeah. Just realized that. Sort of feel like it would be nice to have inhabited planets be named without the intel there, but it makes sense for space saving reasons. My bad.

I haven't really had to much experience with pirate fleets, but I either see tiny ones, (1-4 frigates), or large ones (1 cruiser, 2-3 destroyers, some frigates). Not sure if 'm unlucky, but it would be nice if there was some in-between fleets.

Bug Reports & Support / Intel Map filters

As far as I can tell, the Intel map filters are broken. Only the fuel filter seems to be working. Names don't pop up with the inhabited filter, nor the name filter. The exploration filter (I'm not sure how it works) Doesn't seem to do anything either.

Regarding distress signals. Er... Which jump point is closest, Fringe, or Outer? They're at opposite sides of the star, and I can't tell. Kind of important, since the help is supposed to come via the closest to the star jump point.

Inner - outer - fringe.
Thanks!

Question. With the neutrino scanner, do low emission things always end up being stuff, or can they be false positives?

"Low-emission" means the pings will be intermittent rather than regular.

I ask, because I'm in a system with intermitten pings, but they go way off the system map. I'm wondering if it's actually something I should look for, or not bother.

You also want to sell durvey data at region capitals or high stability planets. They provide a good boost to your selling price.

Some potential changes would be to slow fown acceleration a lot, and lowercourse corrrction further. Maybe increase your own sensor rating if it doesn't do that already.
