since we had a threat like that before and I´ve found a wonderful Place for a colony I wanted to start this one.

Suggestions / Sindria - and Askonias corona

Hi,

can we put Planet Sindria and the Jump-point in a higher orbit around its former Star Askonia or lower the power of the corona in this particular system?
I often (and not always) getting a real push away when going through the Jump-point due to the Askonias corona and makes docking with Sindria sometimes a bit uncomfortable
When playing for/allied with SD its getting a bit of a burden.

But after continue playing . Still no peace in sight and again some weeks to month later.

General Discussion / Universe at war

I don´t know if I should post a bug since I´m not sure if it is a feature or has to do with the seed.

I´m still in my first game, but things gut out of control in my multiverse
Everything started as usual, and trading between factions was prospering but after a while some people started to fight each other...

Now the whole universe is at war with each other.
For ages now there is war. Every Faction  is hostile to the others.
And there is no sign of peace.  ???

In 0.7 the factions made peace again after a while ..

Anyone else noticed this and can tell me if I missed something or found a bug?

General Discussion / your best random salvaged ship findings

Hey Guys,
since I´m really feeling lucky with this random salvage I found when traveling home from the edge of the Sector.
What your finest random salvaged ship ?


Its in bad shape, I know but the weapons alone are worth a ton.
Will probably restore it to peak condition when I have the money  ::)

Suggestions / Reached limit of maximum Officers

Just tried what happens when I have 10 Officers.
I can talk to them , but my only option is : Sorry cant hire anymore ( which is OK )
But I think you should still be able to ask him about his skills

1. Depends on what you can do
2  Sorry can`t hire anymore

At least then I could decide to dismiss a Officer and don´t have to save load for example if the Officers is worse then what i got.

Bug Reports & Support / 0.65 disabling engine while warping in

was on top of the map , and just next to me an atlas jumped in. it instantly got hit by my dominator and got its engine crippled ..
needed to burndrive 3 times just down the map to find him again :

thats how far he traveled cause his engine got disabled. maybe he even hit the other end of the map ... couldn't find out.
I think he wasn't losing speed until his engine got back online.
normal cases when your engine gets disabled you are losing speed , especially with burn drive on. am I right ?

may be a rare bug, but funny non the less . never seen an atlas travelling that fast :) ( or any other ship , could happen with them , too )

Have you had a look at all the fleet crew ... they are green .. all of them , pirates , tri tachion , hegemony , trade or patrol .. every time only green.

I think that isn't supposed to happen.
I´m ok with it with pirates or trade fleets ( the aren't combat trained, or at least not that many of them )
But even the larger faction patrols are full on green. The should have regular or some veteran in it.

Or is it supposed to be like that , to give the player an edge with multiple battles of incoming enemy fleets?
Because the NPC fleets aren't able to send a ship twice without suffering from malfunctions.

Can't remember if it was in the game before 0.65.

But if you're close to an enemy ship with weapons disabled.
You can still here the "clicking" sound of the disabled weapon, trying to shot at you.

Hi,

not sure if already posted yet :
found the one with while using some 0.6 mods.
have confirmed that with a quick vanilla test ( only latest command console running )

when talking to a "weaker" fleet ( which are neutral ) and you click leave , you are now hostile .. even if you didn´t want to fight them

Descrytion says : 1 Small Energy and 1 Small Missile
Used is only the small Missile for the Reaper Torpedo

Shouldn´t there be a PD or the slot removed ? :)

Suggestions / new UI ( 0.6 )

Hi guys.
In my personal opinion the UI in the bottom left feels somewhat wrong/uncomfortable.
I would love to have it top left or right.

So maybe we could make an option to put it in the corner the individual player prefers?

Suggestions / Attack/Defend - The influence of fleetsettings

First words : I´m not native English :) I´m sorry for any grammar or other errors in this text.
                -> if you have a better idea for naming this post i would chance it. i couldn´t get something short and fitting :(

Haven´t seen any real difference between those 2 yet.
Except if your fleet is fleeing and the other defending fleeing doesn't get your ships damaged.

So i was thinking about something:

1. In your Fleet screen you can define your fleet like 1st line and 2nd line.

2. in small battles only Ships in the 1st line will be available

3. in normal battles it depends on what you´ve chosen
    -> full attack : only 1st row is available
    -> defend : 2nd row is available
    -> AI would set their 1st and 2nd line

4. Ships in the 2nd row will be destroyed or captured like it happens in normal battles if you loose or the AI had chosen to attack and lost.

5. Why i would like to see it?
    -> 2nd row would fit for damaged ships or civilian ships like cargo vessels which i otherwise have to put on retreat in small battles by hand
    -> choosing defend gives you a bit more firepower or at least some ships which can take a hit or two to save the day .. hopefully ...

5.So but why don´t we say that it cost something to put a ship in your 2nd line.
    -> for example a "price" could be 2 command points for every ship in 2nd line up to your normal maximum ( 10 i think it is atm ) which will be not avaible in battles then.
        -> so lets say you put 5 ships in your 2nd line, you now would have to hope that your fleet performs well without your orders until a node in battle is captured.

what do you guys think about?
oh and don´t be to harsh ;)
