Suggestions / New stystem for the Doom

So, with this new buff for phase it deffinitly makes them better, at least for me, but as I have stated before, the Doom needs a new system. The fast missle reloading is focused on a strike craft build, but I use it as a more support role, and so I don't use it often. Also, the other phase ships have systems that stop missles, emp and flares, while the Doom has no protection from missles.

I have suggested maybe a aoe pulse that come from the center of the Doom outward, pushing ships slightly doing little damage but destroying missles.

I don't see why people say frigates suck. I have been using frigates throughout my play through, and I never thought "this lasher/Temptest is getting useless I need a big fat destroyer." Frigates, even the hound arn't really used for frontal assaults, or that's not what I do, they are more for keeping pressure on the enemy while its fighting a bigger ship. And they could even take down a ship or two without my help, which is another reason I keep them. Now they do degrade, but my battles don't last long enough for them to become useless, and I don't know how they could, and if it does, make them retreat.

And on end game. I bought an Odyssey, and found my fleet was lacking, well speed, capital ships are great, but for this patch they seem useless. They are too slow, and unable to help in battle very much, compared to cruisers and destroyers.

But it seems I had a really lucky play through, so I'm not sure what problems others really faced.

Back on topic: although being slower seems like a good idea for this, I almost agreed with you, it would make Harry more overpowered than it is right now.

I do have to say, according to what I'm hearing from people, Harry seems to be overpowerd, so maybe if it did cost supplies it would be better balanced.....I think that everything.

Your just proving that your a bigger idiot, I hope you understand that.

Well anyway it makes perfect sinse. The CR is soposed to make it so some ships *cough* Hyperion *cough* can't be used excessively in battle unless you risk it malfunctioning and getting destroyed. I don't see any game breaking business wrong with it.

Also I tried out the sunder and the doom, and they don't seem bad in speed. Yes slower, but so does everything else.

You could try maybe doing both? Like have the exerelin like the missions series, while you wait for the mods to update. Other wise I could care less, all your videos are great.

@Magician This game was never soposed to be just about combat. The game is going to be about controlling fleets, changing the outcome to events, acting like a pirate and attack supply fleets, taking missions to help the tri, or back stab them, and give there info to the hegemony. This game was never soposed to be only about fighting.


Anyway, I'm doing fine on supplies. Like others have said carriers drop lots of supplies, and money for the matter. And sinse if I buy any more ships I loose logistics, I have all the money I need. And I have got boarding 3 times. First time I got a lasher after hard docking, the other two where buffalos and I tried hard dock and attacking for a far and they both blew up.

Well what ship are you using? If your using a huge slow ship you will never get to them. The point of that is to save your fast frigates to kill those running away. I keep a Hyperion or a Temptest just for pursuing. It has nothing to do with coasting. Also small fast frigates can easily doge missles, so there isn't an issue there either.

To throw in my 2 cents, flux is also confusing. Some one could assume if a mount type was called flux, it would mean it gets rid of flux or that ballistic and missile don't make flux, even though they do.

I thought this league of planets was part of the independents. At least thinking of them game wise. Not being alinged would mean they arnt the hegmony, tri, ect. So the only option is independent. That's more of an assumption but it only makes since. Of coarse someone could prove me wrong.
