Why bother making a poll? You and maybe 3-5 other people will be doing all the work. 99% of the people here probably haven't done more than a few quick wiki edits and will be of no help with the migration.

I assume you've already contacted the major wiki contributors and with them already made your decision.

Who gets to say what is and isn't balanced? What is balanced for one person, may not be balanced for another. Ya'll just tooting your own horns and blowing hot air about things you have no way to prove.

This isn't just a Starsector thing though, no, its a tale as old as video gaming itself—everyone has their own idea of what is the "CORRECT HARD". If something isn't what they feel is the correct hard/challenging then they start spewing things like: "artificial difficultly, not hard but tedious/grindy, cheap and unfair, too RNG dependent, and ever increasingly abstract reasons and copouts. Don't forget my personal favorite: "it feels CLUNKY" lol

I get both annoyed and amused by it.

For only 18 DP and really solid burst dmg it seems like one of those ships you toss a couple into your fleet and let them do their thing. Tanky as hell and can phase away if need be but if it does die, no real loss thanks to the built-ins. A real low maintenance ship both literally and figuratively.

Wendigo looks pretty rad, phase in and slam AAF on the side or rear of a big ship and enjoy the lightshow. Would you mind sharing how much armor and hull it has?

Also, I'ma cry jellybean tears if no new ship(s) or weapon(s) can be obtained from delving deep into the Abyss... :o

I like to imagine that a good chunk of people who don't like phase ships get all upsetti spaghetti over them cause they can't lol-pew-pew them to death instantly with their absurd modded ships and weapons. How dare those phase ships don't instantly melt and have the audacity to actually be able to flank my own ship?

Alex ain't keen on 30% cut Steam takes. Alex been selling his game on the Black Market and bypassing that tariff this whole time, having to lose 30% of the cut is gonna sting.

The answer is literally on this thread, it could be 20 or even 25 dollar on steam (not uncomon for a game the size of Starsector). AND he could still continue to sell it the old way for those who want it.
I don't know much about how Steam does pricing. You can sell the game on Steam for more money but then cheaper elsewhere? Steam doesn't have some sorta limitation on that?

Oh, you mean still sell on Alex website but if you buy from Alex you aren't getting a Steam key.
