Bug Reports & Support / Re: Audio Popping / Crackling OpenAL issue

I held off on replying because I've been doing some experimenting but I've mostly run out of ideas now. It seems like setting the PC format to 24 bit 44100 hz (down from 48000) and setting OpenAL resampling to Linear (down from Cubic Spline) helps somewhat, but I think it's just making the popping less frequent rather than fixing anything. Its intermittent enough in the first place its honestly hard to tell if anything is slightly better or the same. This is all still on the old dlls. There are other things that can be tinkered with but most of them have substantial losses in quality/delay like period count. I specifically tested Stalker Anomaly as well to see if it was having issues since it uses OpenAL as well, but everything seems perfectly normal there for me. It doesn't SEEM like an OpenAL issue to me.
I'll post updates if I have any, or if you'd like more detailed info I'd be happy to provide it. I'll definitely test some more later and maybe try more intrusive changes or the new dlls just to see what happens.
