Hello friends,

I've got a code for a free copy of Fantasy General (for GOG) that I'm giving away. If you really want the game, you can post a number between 1 and 20 here.

I'll run a random number generator and the number closest to the roll wins the game.

The code expires 1/17/19 11:59 PM UTC

So I will end the giveaway saturday 5th of January, so the winner will have plenty of time to redeem the game.

Me and DR tried to make it works, turns out something of this size is outrageously expensive to run, and would pretty much require to be part of one separate mod entirely to avoid screwing players with lower-end computers. So for now it's sleeping on Spiral Arms, i'll put all the modules and what DR coded so far.

But yeah, if hubris could be a sprite, it'll probably would looks like this.

People might miss out on it otherwise :)

@AtomSoldat I don't believe the person who made the original post presenting this mod is still online - it's changed operator - and only the original poster can change the original post.

Been busy with very few other games lately, planning to do some weeks later or so another polymath Corvus Scavenger character run who's home is a modified and personalized Hermit-class, aka Hermit Mk2 due to being refitted with built-in hullmods from systems to health and hull in such a way that leaves the internal layout cramped and more like the corridors and rooms on the Nostromo from Alien movie.

Can think of my idea of the alternate Hermit I have, as the Torrens from Alien: Isolation game in a way. An upgraded wreck given life again and then some.

Is there any chance you will consider about TUP (Tore Up Plenty) too?  Or is it too imbalanced with DS and other faction that is compatible with DS?  TUP recently got updated to work with Nexerelin.

TUP is not good enough to be integrated.

Wow. Mind enlightening us? 'cause from what I've experienced, the ships are pretty flavorful, the faction has a unique take on building rep and it's being actively maintained and iterated upon. Those seem like pretty good qualities to me.

I completely understand his reasoning because TUP is not well balanced and I'll be the first to admit that.  I'm glad you and others are enjoying it but it's not on the same level as the faction mods that Dyna currently supports.  You could theoretically shoehorn TUP support into your own copy of Dynasector by adding and editing some things, but it will take a while (50+ ships?  have fun) and the results may not be worth it.

TUP ships were designed with balance toward vanilla Starsector in mind, but not made to provide a balanced “faction” in itself. Really, it was initially just a collection of ships, and I created the Corvus Scavengers as a way of introducing these ships to the universe. But they were never intended to be a true faction or faction mod, such as Blackrock Drive Yards or Shadowyards Heavy Industries.

Though I'm impressed with what you've done with the mod, CaptainWinky. Curious to see where you will take it if you keep working on it.

Many of the added fighters are way too cheap OP wise (ex, Buckler is 6 to the Piranha's 10) . Additionally, many of the stock variants don't use all of their OP.

Was OP boosted on the frigates, without changing the variants loadouts?

Understandable, there is some outdated info on there. You used to be able from a long list of ships to start with.
