you could also increase faction relations to pirates with "console commands" mod

something like this

you could also save your world seed and start an new game (same planets would be there)
try to be friendly with pirates
it is really hard, you have to avoid fights with pirates

Any weapon with less than 1000 range is also unacceptable, the plasma cannon is an exception range is king in space games

you should try to fly SO(Safety Overrides) Hammerhead, range is melee(450+)  but damage is great , speed is ok

alphastrike phaseships are also funny, the game slows down and you can sneak to the enemies back and unleash several torpedos into his engines

The min/maxer in me needs a planet with 100% hazard, farmland, ore

you can also make (a bit)money with 250% rich/ultrarich ore planet
but it is also babysitting vs pirates

easy money is to join a faction
my first time was after more than 100 hours and several runs

no problems to pay your officers,fuel and supply

i5-2500k (upgrade when zen3 is out)
amd 7970 Ghz 3gb(probably next is also amd)
16gb ram

avrg 40-59 fps
sometimes fps go down to 12,
so I avoid fighters and big fights (even after big low fps fight the fps is low on planetscreen)

anyone with amd graphics card and good fps? ( I know the open_gl driver issue)

hi. on my current run I try to get ships without buying it.
(I will max out industry. no carriers)
how to get better chance to get ships after the battle?
is there a way to kill softly?
I heard reaper makes too big holes and you will get dust instead of a ship  :o

btw. I have luddic church commission now(my first).so TT will be my target  8)

do I need salvage gantry?

last run i tried frigate run...later also destroyers...ended with...I need power, now , cheap, so I get some drover and herons
