Yes and no. I supported this a while ago, and I admit, I wish I could give them more money, the game is great and I love the mechanics (I just wish there were more ships to play with, and that some of the ships already in the game could be implemented). However, I also know that no updates for months (and months...and months... and months) forces the gameplay to become stale, and every possible update has to somehow wow the player again.

there is still a LOT to do, but at the same time, we can't actually see that the work is being done.

I am a skeptic for any game that I support. I don't trust the developer until a product has been delivered (watching both indy devs and AAA devs deliver half finished garbage over the last four years has destroyed any hope of trust).

So, yeah, until I see progress beyond a blog post, I assume that nothing is being done. Trust me, I want this game and I like the dev, but I don't trust him.

Yeah I have long since lost faith in this game ever getting completed, it's more now watching in awe people try to believe that anything tangible will come of it.

Nice! Pity the game won't come out in your lifetime, but it's nice art.

My fleet logistics is at 9, what would you recommend?

Hey folks. I have been trying to support a large fleet but I normally can't have more than one or two capital ships before my efficiency and combat readiness become completely impossible to use. How do you make large fleets like the game does?

Also, has our beloved Dev vanished off the face of the earth? There hasn't been a release since April.

Any word on the ships that have not been added back in, like the torpedo bomber, sabot fighter

These aren't even on my radar right now, honestly. Little bits of content (which is what those guys are, imo) are going to come and go. They might come back, and they might not. We'll see!

and the huge carrier?

I'm not sure what ship you're talking about - if it's the Astral (high tech carrier, capital ship) then it's still in the game, both missions and campaign. It shouldn't even be that rare at the one Tri-Tachyon military base. If it's something else, then consider me officially confused :)

Yeah the Astral, sorry, I haven't actually played the game for a few months because I pretty much maxed out the game as it stands >.>

I love the little torpedo bomber though! PLEASE put it back in? *bambi eyes*

I believe there is a bug with the High Energy Focus ship system, that could be it. (there is a hotfix in the work that should arrive soon)

Confirmed at my side too. High Energy Focus have the tendency to blatantly increase energy requirements to the point of the ship to overload.

useful for taking down ships with point defense beams, I am almost sad it was taken down, auroras' are now MUCH harder to deal with

I don't know what happened, but suddenly, all point defense lasers generate so much flux that they cause even the largest ships to overload in a heartbeat. I am not -entirely- sure what the dev was thinking with this change, but now in order to win ANY engagement, all PD must be turned off (it also has a bad habit of attacking ships instead of just fighters and missiles).

Am I missing something?

It's a sad day when you have to get third party support to make a game work the way it should.

What is worse is that at some point in the design process, someone thought "Hey, this would be a -great- Idea!!"

The nail in the coffin is that his coworkers didn't slap him across the face for thinking it.

With a nail studded bat.

I was going to post something, but my destroyer was just obliterated by a wave of fighters when I suddenly started a combat and could not so much as TURN MY SHIP.

Because obviously no one noticed holes getting punched by pea shooters... even when bulkheads collapsed and engines exploded.

Edit:

I just tried playing again, got to the point where I had a carrier and a small fighter fleet. For some reason, my CR dropped from 70% to 2% after a fight, and I lost my flagship to a pair of tiny destroyers because no one could so much as shoot a gun (evidently, people dying is not a good enough sign that we are under attack, and my fighters don't so much as blink to defend the carrier)

It's not enough that I want my money back for this abortion of a game choice, I want to scream for an hour in front of the developers, asking them what made them think this was a good idea.
