There is no setting for VRAM, I assume the game/OS/drivers handle that automatically.
VRAM warning with no mods sounds most likely to be the game running on the integrated rather than the dedicated graphics card.

Most SS players do their RAM allocation in the vmparams file rather than settings.json; this thread is slightly out of date but should work. Default allocation is 1.5 GB.
For the slowdown that happens after playing for a while and goes away on application restart, also get Java 8 by following this post.


Got it, changed the vmparams to the 8gb since it seems thats the max the game can use as it was stated by Dark.Revenant on the second paragraph there unless it has since changed. 

(("- You should never exceed 8GB or you will experience stutters, freezes or even crashes."))

Also I checked my java and it is 8 so with the settings change and the vmparams file change I should see the change in game speed I was seeking.

As we inch closer to 1.0 these are issues that are already solved so at least it was a quick fix to find and solve the issue.  :)

What about VRAM?


I didnt actually see a spot for vram other than it asking for checks on it this line;

Sorry if this has been asked but when I am starting up my game is there anyway you can add in that I solely own the system I start in.  I find I keep having to restart due to pirates or someone else in system with several planets and other infrastructure taking it all up.  Thanks in advance.

I haven't officially updated this for the latest game version yet, but it's simple enough to fix yourself. Just open up "mod_info.json" in the main mod folder and change the game version to 0.96a

So I thought there was a post on this from before but I suppose I cant find it.  With most computers having at least 16gbs of ram I am wondering why in the config files the game is using 6gbs.  Or is the game hardwired to not allow this to change and changing its value will not actually effect the game.

My thought was to bump it to 32,768.  Thoughts.

I was noticing a slow down with fps and I assume its due to the massive number of mods I am using.  Thanks in advance.

Bad news barer.  After 100s of mods installed fresh install and going through all of them five at a time it seems your mod is the culprit.

Added broken log that includes your mod on the break.  :)

So this allows players to play in combat but do they also show up on the main map?  Is it possible to basically mod in a co op?  Thanks in advance.  :)

Unfortunately not.

worth asking.  A co op would certainly be fun in the game.  :)  Thanks for the work you have done so far!

If you're not averse to editing data/config/settings.json, you can uncomment these two lines:

   #"windowLocationX":0,
   #"windowLocationY":0,

And adjust the location as desired.


I am very happy to do that.  Perhaps if there is a slow day and you want to add it to the launcher window in the future.  I can move it for myself, perhaps even make a mod even.  Anyways thank you for this game!!!!  As well as reading my silly little request.

Can we get a launcher window box move option.  Since I heavily mod I often watch netflix and the box is a bit in the way :)

To clarify I have over 100 mods and I need to activate them and add what I am using and everything so I am in the mod section for a bit and it covers my show lol
