In the 'Retreat' and 'Direct Retreat' orders, I think 'open' should be 'opening' here?

First off, thanks for the mod, really love the ship designs :).

Secondly, is the Strand meant to absolutely guzzle fuel? Its cost of 7 fuel/ly seems to be significantly higher than all other cruisers, which max out at 5 as far as I could tell from skimming through the codex.

This would need quite a bit of AI work to be at all useable outside of player-only ships. To take your example, if the shield only blocks beams and the AI doesn't know that, any AI-controlled ship that equips it will die to one HIL Sunder. Conversely, the enemy AI won't know they should prioritise firing beams against these ships.
