My first guess is that torpedoes don't benefit from it as it is called MISSILE specialisation but I just want to make sure.

loosing an Apogee is fairly hard to do if you have the right mods. Their shields are among the most efficient. You could go toe-to-toe with a Paragon and loose no hull, armour or even go to full flux.

I'd say that the apogee it the best choice. You have firepower, speed and carrying capacity. The problem is they are hard to find and are very expensive.

weapons I used:
4x Autopulse lasers
6x Pulse lasers
9x IR pulse lasers
4x Single reaper torpedoes

The lasers give a very high DPS and very low flux usage.

Hull mods I used:
integrated targeting unit
augmented engines
front shield emitter
expanded magazines
stabilised shields

The mods give the ship really low shield costs (1/4 of original rate).

I then tend to have the rest of the points as:
50 vents
50+ capacitors

The loadout is primarily used against Hegemony as they are slow and have crap shields.

Before the 0.65 update, I made an incredible powerful Paragon loadout (pulse lasers, autopulse laser and IR pulse laser). It has low flux cost and has a high dps. This got me thinking: 'what other powerful loadouts have other people made?'

The problem could depend on your loadout. I use the onslaught in a same way because of the shockingly bad shield but I never have problems with hegemony ships being destroyed by high tech ships. it could also depend on your fleet style. I have a carrier based fleet (1 onslaught, 3 herons, 7 thunders, 5 broadswords and some gladius) I had no problem with the high tech because I could overwhelm them.

General Discussion / Anyone found an astral-class yet?

So I've been playing the new update, got a few million, a large fleet of carriers and fighters, got a high level and have almost 100 reputation with all the main factions (hegemony, tri-tac and mercs) but I cant find an astral-class super carrier. This got me wondering: 'does anyone else have an astral and how do I get one?' Help would be appreciated!

every time I start up the game with the shaderLib mod enabled there is extreme lag and miniature versions of my screen appear in the bottom left corner. help plz.
