Starsector really doesn't feel complete without BRDY

I would like to play this game very much. (Jesus I hope it comes out at least two weeks before ME:Andromeda or at least 4 weeks afterwards)

Either way, here's the plan

- Push a single starter frigate as hard and fast as possible

- Build up the old-school frigate wolf-pack replete with whatever TriTachTech I can get my hands on

- Add anything that's fast and has a flight deck and transition to trying fighter swarms for anything frigate sized or smaller with hard hitting fast flying frigates with oversized guns to flank and take down capitals.

In other words: The same thing I do every time, try to take over the galaxy!

Edit: I'm also going to sell a lot of drugs. Especially where drugs are illegal, that's where I'll sell the most drugs.

Slaver scum can *** off.

I paid $30 for this game with the soundtrack on a friend's recommendation. A++ would zap, blast, and stomp my way to fullfilment of The Agreement again.

If I hadn't been waiting for the next Starsector patch I wouldn't have even been looking for something like it, so I'm glad to see a post about it here.

Great aesthetic and atmosphere, excellent challenge/reward balanced gameplay in the Campaign levels (which are kind of like puzzle/challenge mode) and the whole unlock system and the different pilot's changing the difficulty (via spawn lists) and the payout is a cool mechanic. I've only unlocked a handful of the mechs and weapons in Freelance, though I did just finish the campaign. I've got about 8 hours played and I can't wait to play again. Definitely a Good Game and I'd think worth a look for anyone that enjoys the combat in Starsector.

Edit: I should mention the developers have plans to add more missions and whatever they mean by "revamp" over the next year.

Game is great right now. The only thing missing is the ability to take stations and found your own faction. No doubt we'll have mods for such soon enough.

Great work, Alex. There are so few games that I play year on year and Starsector never fails to recapture my imagination with each patch!

I have decent rep with Tritach and their Military regularly has medusas and apogees on offer. There's a level of randomness to what's available each game and inventories do seem to update infrequently.

The scan patrols are easy to avoid and carry a really low reputation hit. If you book it for a jump point (where available) you won't even take the rep hit. Def. worth avoiding 3k+ tolls that get leveled at you once you're rocking a decent fleet.
