Got a few of the cruiser( the three Rimes) and destroyer(stratus and stratus P) and I have a hard time to wrap my head around the Rime P usability... maybe its because i dont have a lot of Diable avionic weapons right now... but for a cruiser its quite weak... Its almost got destroyer OP and fire power yet suffer the DP and maintenance and mod prices of being a cruiser...and bad shield damage flux ratio

For a comparison I would say its a mule+falcon fused together... and if compared to other Rime it doesnt have a fighter bay which can cost a lot of OP indeed...

Since its not a pure transport like Rime F nor a true warship like standard Rime.

Wouldn't it be normal to give him a little stats buff or a dp price reduction. Since its not a carrier and it look more like a raiding cruiser maybe a little speed buff?
I mean even vanilla Falcon P and standard Falcon outgun outrun and outtank him and cost only 1 supply more...Its a pirate ship, usually they kind of suck but they have a reddeeming quality like ridiculous speed  or very low DP for a kind of slots Buffalo mk2 and Atlas mk2, or very slots type modification that allow different builds like shrike P and falcon P

Any good way to make this model work?

By the way I am really impressed by this mod, the ships are quite nice to the eyes and quite enjoyable to use.

Rime P is a fantastic ship. Not for combat, it's extremely crappy for that (it gets way too close to action it can't run away from and just dies uselessly), but for a raiding fleet it's fantastic! Don't be fooled by it pretending to be a warship. If possible, never let it fight at all. Even without fighting, it is immensely useful in a raid-oriented fleet for most of the game.

- Slightly smaller cargo cap than the Rime (F) (450 vs 600) but same crew cap (150 for both).
- It also comes with the Ground Support Package mod like the default Rime (doubles the combat power of up to 100 marines per ship), but with the benefit of cargo space + decent amount of room for humans so it doesn't have to pretend to be a warship at the same time.
- This makes it an amazingly convenient marine boat, giving you the critical advantage you need to blitz the sector with only dozens of casualties per raid instead of hundreds. And that means higher profit margins!
- Affordable and easily obtainable in Black Markets across the Sector.
- Enough OP to easily slap on your ideal combination (you can only pick 2) of Insulated Engine Assembly, Expanded Cargo Bays and Solar Shielding.
- Very slot efficient cargo ship, allowing you to carry lots of loot and bring more warships.
- Burn 9! It's fast on the map.

That means it's an absolutely perfect longboat to carry marines and stolen goods. An astonishingly good support ship for someone who always prefers getting the Five Finger Discount wherever they go.

The downside is the high sensor profile (90) which sort of mandates that you use Insulated Engine Assembly if you like not being seen.
Which I do.

Raiding and smuggling - it's actually what Diable excels at as a faction. The Sleet is a similar example - if you look at its statline as a fighting ship, pissweak for a frigate. But it has 100 cargo space - a very generous cargo cap for a frigate. You could make an entire super cheap and fast Wolfpack Tactics pirate fleet out of Versants, Vapors and Sleets for hauling stolen cargo and smuggling goods.

Trying to fight [REDACTED], now that's more of a challenge. Only Maelstroms, officered Versants and the Virtuous are up to the challenge. Everything else fares woefully against Ordos.

Which ships are those in the gifs on the front page? The transformable ones? Also how do I get a Virtuous class ship? Also does that one have a sword?
You get the Virtuous ship iirc from a powerful fleet near Sivie called "The Last Line". The pilot of the Virtuous is level 10 and almost impossible to catch. LUCKILY, I was able to get mine by blowing up the entire rest of the fleet, and "Ordering my second in command to pursue" allowed me to defeat the Virtuous in Auto-calc and salvage it.

It's a FANTASTIC ship. I'm surprised people think it's underpowered? It's a cheat ship only balanced by the fact it's a late game goal and there's only one of them. I use Winee EMPR in Head slot, Brawler config, Gunner weapons, and a level 6 Aggressive officer with Systems Expertise as one of his skills to pilot it.

- S Mods: Hardened Shields, Reinforced Bulkheads, Heavy Armour. (Boring but practical - you'd be surprised how often this thing gets fluxed out and takes chunks of damage for no reason, the Heavy Armour really helps. Officer doesn't have anti-ship loss skills, needs Reinforced Bulkheads to make sure I never lose it.)
- Mods: Resistant Flux Conduits, Integrated Targeting Unit, Solar Shielding, Stabilised Shields, Insulated Engine Assembly. (Resistant Flux, Solar Shielding and Insulated Engine Assembly are all for stopping super strong EMP weapons from causing flameouts on this ship's engines. ITU is almost mandatory for a non-SO build, Stabilised Shields is just there because I had the spare OP and it lowers flux usage even more.
Flux: 1 Cap, 30 Vents.
Loadout: 2x Reaper Torpedo (1 shot), 2x IBIS. Gunner config. (Reapers are a flash in the pan, but this thing has a way of assassinating destroyers or cruisers immediately once the battle starts and putting me in an immediate advantage against otherwise overwhelming forces.


I regularly see the thing get 600-2000% damage dealt in after combat reports. It absolutely annihilates small craft, it's uncatchable unless the pilot makes a mistake, and it attracts a lot of attention from the enemy.

As a player ship, it lacks the raw killing power I need and it's tricky to fly, so I let the AI do it instead.

I actually use a Safety Overrides Gulf build, another unique ship that you can get from defeating a special Tri-Tachyon patrol in Hybrasil. It is MONSTROUSLY strong in my hands because it scales so well with combat builds and highly aggressive playstyles. I use it to assassinate capital ships and crush entire fleets from the flanks.

Disintegrator (left, armour stripper), Cryoblaster (center, dps), Cryoflamer (right, ultimate point defense) + Vesuvio Magcannon (Tahlan Shipworks) to suppress shields and weapons, Punktskydd Cluster (Tahlan Shipworks) to deal horrifyingly high 3000 Fragmentation dps which can even help melt shields + annihilates anything with an armour break.

I have no range and I sort of get bullied if I get flanked by fast small ships, but I can just fly up to anything flying 150su/s or below and melt it.
Now that's the game winner. I love this thing so much.

Something weird happened when I sent out some colonisation fleets to a nearby system.

Sent out three separate fleets to colonise all three planets at the same time. The first and third fleet just produced a normal Size 3 Colony, but then...

The second one of them instantly hit Size 6! How did that happen I wonder?

The bug should be fixed in 0.10.3d and later, have you updated?

Ahh my bad, I only started playing two or three weeks ago, I'm on 0.10.3c. It did not even occur to me that the mod could have been updated/patched multiple times since I started playing.

Updating doesn't break your save right?

My Neutrino Detector button is next to my Transverse Jump (8 and 9 respectively).

As you can imagine, I quite often fatfinger Transverse while trying to look for hidden treasure, and end up jumping out again.

It wastes time, fuel and supplies. Not only that, I play with Ruthless Sector on...

Okay, so I occasionally get bonus Alpha cores and that's great, but having two Ordos fly on top of you after an unintended jump and then dealing with two Radiants and 8 Brilliants during what was supposed to be a relaxing treasure hunting session gives me stomach pain.

Post this to Tartiflette's forum thread and tell him his diableavionics_draftarmormodule has a FIGHTER hull size for some weird reason.

I had a repeating Crash To Desktop bug earlier. (Solved now.)

From what I understood of what Nia and Timid said, the Commissioned Crew mod was applying Legio's Commissioned Crew speed boost buff on to the Draft's frontal armour module, and it caused repeated CTDs. At least, that's the leading explanation.

- Whenever I scrolled down to my Draft in the Fleet or Refit screens, it was an instant CTD.
- Try to deploy the ship in a fight? Instant CTD.
- Sometimes CTD just from talking to another party on the campaign map without even doing anything.
- Mouse over the bugged out Draft on the encounter fleet vs fleet assessment UI menu? CTD.

Using RustyCabbage's helpful script in ConsoleCommands, we blew up the ship and the crashes stopped. Some weird edge case bug.

I managed to solve the issue temporarily by using RustyCabbage's ship delete script that he posted in my bug report thread. Console Commands saved my ass (it was indeed that one stupid Draft, now spacedust!), but I'll swap out the tahlan shipworks.jar so this never happens again.

What a weird bug. But the game works now, no crashes since.

Thanks for looking into it Nia. I got told to go post the bug on the Diable Avionics thread so I'll go do that now.

This should be able to remove the ship from your fleet. Just copy paste into console commands.

EDIT: Yep. Went through Fleet and Refit screens, no crashes. Sold all my supplies to a pirate base then raided it twice, blew it up, claimed the bounty, no crashes.
It really was that one damn ship. I wonder how that happened?

SUMMARY - The ISS Aristomachus [Draft (D class)] ship in my fleet has corrupted files or something, and is causing an instant crash to desktop when I look at it in the Refit or Fleet screens, as well as in encounters with other fleets (which is when the ship data gets referenced, and the first time I had the CTD issue appear). I am unable to do anything to this ship - can't make any alteration, move it, or delete it, because my game will instantly crash as soon as its data appears on screen in any way.

I've been fooling around in various menus. Starship Legends has a "Reports" menu in the Intel screen (E) where you can see which of your ships got positive or negative bonuses, how their combat ratings changed, how much damage they took and did, etc etc.
I can also use it as a list of all my ship names and their classes without crashing my game.

From this screen I can confirm at least that it is the ISS Aristomachus [Draft (D Class)]. That's because I've been able to see every other ship in my Refit screen and not crash my game. By process of elimination, it's this ship causing the problem.

I've also confirmed that I don't have any problems on my other saved games. All I have to do is remove this ship and just this ship, and I will be able to continue my playthrough!

But I installed the Console Commands mod and noticed a big problem - the suicide command either only destroys the ship I'm piloting, or my entire fleet. That's not acceptable, so I need an alternative.

Does the game have;

- A save file error check/fix I can do?
- Any way to delete a specific ship through console commands without having to manually do it through the Fleet screen?
- Some method for me to change which ship I am piloting through console commands? (I could then suicide just that one ship.)
- A kind of safe mode command that will stop the application from terminating even if there is a critical error?
- Or even a way to store individual ships Storage through a console command, ID by ID, until I'm left with just the bugged ship so I can Suicide it?

I still haven't figured what if any mod conflict or other error might be causing this.

One curious note: When I open the Console Commands menu with CTRL + Backspace and use the 'PrintStarshipLegendsData' command, I noticed that the ISS Aristomachus' data is missing from the list of ships despite every other ship I've ever used being in there. Is that because I never got to use it in a real battle, or because its Starship Legends data is corrupted?
EDIT: I cleared the ISS Aristomachus' Starship Legends reputation data using 'clearrep Draft'. Game still insta crashed. That 'aint it.

UPDATE: Confirmed not to be an encounter bug specifically, but actually a bug with a ship I salvaged! As soon as it enters the screen in the Fleet (F) or Refit (R) pages, the game crashes to desktop. Game crash is also triggered by mousing over the Draft while in an encounter with another fleet.

I've been getting instant crash to desktop after engaging enemy fleets on the campaign map. This is a long running game, 9 cycles in, and I've only just started encountering this problem now. I thought it was just a bug I had with Shadowyards, but I also got this problem when I tried to help a Cabal fleet fight a Sindrian Lions task group. Tahlan Shipworks is mentioned in the crash log for some reason?

It may also be a Commissioned Crews bug. In the meantime, I'll try and recreate the crash bug with other factions.

I don't know what mod or issue might be causing it, but Tahlan Shipworks is mentioned in the Starsector.log crash log. Am I barking up the wrong tree? I'd love to know what is causing this.

EDIT: Updated my Java, fought a battle against a Sindrian patrol fleet, nothing special happened. As soon as I leave the battle and get to the dialogue menu allowing me to pursue the remaining enemy ships, the game crashed to desktop again.

EDIT 2: This crash doesn't happen all the time, but it's very consistent and happens both in hyperspace and in solar systems. I also find it really weird that I successfully interacted with a Sindrian fleet, engaged and defeated it, but then CTD'ed on the aftermath/pursuit screen.

The very first time this happened, I engaged a Shadowyards Fast Picket in system Yajna near planet Jnana that was fighting pirate invaders. Curiously, I made it through the encounter screen, but crashed when deploying ships.

After that, all crashes to desktop have been a result of directly encountering fleets. I wonder if my save file is corrupted? I'm going to go pick more fights on a backup save from 2 cycles ago and see if there's still an issue.

EDIT 3: I've tried to recreate this issue on the older save, and everything is fine. Picked multiple fights against Sindrians, went into open war, no music errors, and no crashes It seems to be a result of something that happened recently in my latest save.

EDIT 4: Crash is happening in the Ship Refit (R) screen without me encountering any enemy fleets! Fascinating.
Aha! A specific ship in my fleet is causing a crash to desktop whenever I click on it! And only that ship!

I also tried to sell off the offending ship at a station, but crashed to desktop while I was in the F ship display screen as soon as I scrolled down. It's hard to even get a screenshot of the ship or description of it without the game crashing. https://imgur.com/a/I9Z7bKS

If I scroll any further down, the game instantly crashes lmao.

EDIT 5: Crashes are happening in both refit and Fleet screen. I scroll down and the game crashes and dies like I locked eyes with a Basilisk. This must be a result of one of my most recent ship acquisitions. It was a mid-journey salvage - I wonder if one of the Commissioned Crew hull mods didn't get applied to it properly or something stupid like that?
I think it's a Diable Avionics Draft that I salvaged and added 3 S mods to, intended as reusable cannon fodder. For some reason it's causing crashes. Any suggestions on removing it from my save file?

In fact, I just entered an encounter with a neutral Pirate fleet, and as soon as I moused over the Draft, the game crashed!
I didn't know you could have a corrupted ship lol.

I've been getting instant crash to desktop after engaging enemy fleets on the campaign map. This is a long running game, 8 cycles in, and I've only just started encountering this problem now. I thought it was just a bug I had with Shadowyards, but I also got this problem when I tried to help a Cabal fleet fight a Sindrian Lions task group. Tahlan Shipworks is mentioned in the crash log for some reason?

It may also be a Commissioned Crews bug. In the meantime, I'll try and recreate the crash bug with other factions.

I don't know what mod or issue might be causing it, but Tahlan Shipworks is mentioned in the Starsector.log crash log. Am I barking up the wrong tree? I'd love to know what is causing this.

EDIT: Updated my Java, fought a battle against a Sindrian patrol fleet, nothing special happened. As soon as I leave the battle and get to the dialogue menu allowing me to pursue the remaining enemy ships, the game crashed to desktop again.
