It's quite amazing that Starsector video got so popular. I would say that it was made too early to maximise its potential, since it will take some years still to finish starsector, but it's not as if Alex had control over it in the first place.
By the time 1.0 comes out, he's probably going to do a re-review of a finished game. He's done so in the past and it makes sense to do it for the second most popular vid of his.
Sseth re-reviewing the game when it hits 1.0 would be a surprise but a welcome one.

the icon for your mod gives me yu-gi-oh vibes i don't know why.

full support for this idea. those mosquitos are very annoying (especially when you are a pirate).

Blade breaker Raids are quite funny tho and rare only had 2 raids and it's already 2 years ingame time on my save looking forward each raid cus of the weapons I get from salvages they ain't weak but 2 years ingame time especially in a modded save is pretty long I keep waiting for em to raid my colony systems after 1 year but they don't and I don't want to mess with the files further already but really wanted to raid regularly kinda like pirates but I get the whole secret faction with secret intents that's why contact with em should be limited (I get this cus I gave the pirates a Paragon BP and a Pristine Nanoforge to see what'll happen and we'll the results was as expected) but those weapons are such a godsend and op to pass up so. It makes me explore the south even more
do what i did. find a blade breaker world and colonize a random planet on it. you will be attacked until ether you destroy all their stations or until they destroy your planet. ngl when i tried it i was at it for a good few days and after finally losing the planet i had stockpiled hundreds of each type of weapon(I WAS STACKED).

No matter if it's a vanilla ship or a modded one I can never find a ship where gimping your shields for a slight increase in armor (AND still costs OP) is ever remotely worth it.
maybe i haven't experimented with it enough but every time i try fighting [REDACTED] they just get melted.

You can make numbered groups. Go into a sim and deploy a group of ships, select them and then hit ctrl+1. Next time you go in to a battle you can just hit 1 on your keyboard when choosing which ships to deploy.

In the game it says that sniffers get found and removed and the more of them you have the sooner they get found.
so does anyone have any detailed info as to how long does one sniffer last and or how much does it decrease the duration of old sniffers when you add a new one?

Star Valor is a space game I found on a discount and gave it a try and hot diggity dog I have been having a blast.
Its a power fantasy. where you get a stock ship and outfit it with upgrades that you can craft/find/buy mix and match to your hearts content.
After you do missions for a faction be it recourse gathering, delivery or (my favorite)bounty hunting you get enough reputation with a faction you can purchase their faction specific ships.
there are 6 ship sizes :
1 Shuttle: the tiny bois.
2 Yacht: speedy bois.
3 Corvette: starting from this size you can confidently bounty hunt alone with adequate firepower and and speed to outrun battles you cant win.
4 Frigate: frigates are the perfect balance between speed and power also its the starting ship size for carriers(haven't tried carriers yet but i know they are great for a mining/refining builds).
5 Cruiser: Large ships that discard mobility for very high CHONK and firepower.
6 Dreadnought: moving fortress.

having auto generated personalities would bring life to the sector. especially if they have ships they will never want to leave because they consider those as their "baby".
If those non-mobile officers didn't count towards the officer limit....
that would let you have a fleet of 30 officers.

I'm not going to lie. no matter how many times i try. it just can't make Shield Shunt work on any ship. it always ends up getting deleted by "REDACTED" so I'm not even going to try doing it against "SUPER REDACTED".

God, I used to love Star Conflict. It has the best 3D ship controls I've seen personally, I wish there were more games like that but single-player instead of weird p2w nonsense.

Avorion is a 'build your own ship' kinda game that I kept trying to get into (wanted to find a Robocraft-like game) but it's just a bit too awkward and complex for me. I tried to make small ships but they would barely move cause they were too heavy smh
I liked robo-craft before it mutated into a MOBA.
