Im loving the ship designs. They fit really well.
I dont know if this is a little nitpick-ish, but it doesn't seem like the ships in my colonial defense fleets ever use the interstellar federation weapons, even if i prioritize them over vanilla weapons.

Hmmm, are we talking about colony management with the fleet wonkyness?   I rarely get far enough in a run to get a very developed colony.

Yeah, i was talking about the colony management bit. The game decides to use random logistic ships and fighters from low/midline/hightech ships instead of the ones from your mod, even if i prioritize only ships from your mod. It's not a deal breaker, but thought i'd just mention it.

Really awesome mod. Allready loving it.
Maybe this is a little nitpicky, but I've noticed three small things when you prioritize ships in your defense fleets.

1. If you if prioritize the freighter from this mod, the game still adds in other freighters from the game in the fleets.

2. Prioritizing the tanker from this mod makes the defense fleets more or less consist of 80% tankers.

3. If you prioritize the fighters from this mod, the game doesn't use them at all.

Other than that, it's still tons of fun.

Managed to fix it. My problem was I didn't even know my admin's name, so I couldn't find him in the save file. Now just in case it matters whether the admin is retrieved or not, do what I did.

Download the console command mod, enable, load game.
Control+backspace to load console, type goto galatia (or whatever system he is in)
type sethome galatia academy
type home
Dock at academy, retrieve admin. Save game.

Locate savefile, open with text editor such as notepad++. Find your <person> tag, you'll see near the top a line such as <st>$ome_adminTier</st> with "3" below that. change to a 2. save the file, load the game.

I'm having the exact same issue, did you find a fix? I'll delete the administrator at this point I don't care. I can't play my game anymore :(

I got this game breaking bug that just kept crashing my game over and over. Even when i tried to load the game, it just crashed the second i unpaused. Looks like the academy can randomly train administrators up to level 3, which the game doesn't recognize. Which is weird, because i never got the option to train admins after they reached lvl 2.

Here's the log:

I couldn't get back to my colony to delete either the administrator or the academy. It just kept crashing every time i loaded the game. So no, I have not been able to find a fix for now.

Oh nice, i'll definitely remember that the next time it happens. Sadly, i deleted that particular save file.

Love the mod. Very well made.

Maybe this is a stupid question, but is it possible to come by the blade breaker and bladewood blueprints on the map? Or must i console them in?
I'm also wondering how to get the sigma tech package. I've been fighting a lot of blade breakers and looting their systems, but i've never found it anywhere.

Been using the mod for ages. I really like it. Came back from a long hiatous and downloaded the newes version of the mod.
I seem to remember there being more planet type terraforming options in the earlier versions, like terran eccentric worlds for example.
Did that get removed, or am i remembering wrong?

Nope - before rc14 or so, you got pather interest for base industries (generally fairly low, excepting tech mining with vast ruins) and I think for having an alpha admin? Nothing for items, nothing for other AI cores; it was clearly bugged.

Aha. Makes sense i guess.

I was wondering why i could, pre latest hotfix, build so many industries, and pack them full of items, without ever getting pather cells.

No, i havent touched the settings.

I did select the terraforming option at one point, but i didnt change the ongoing project.

But then again, maybe i mislicked or something. Its no biggie. The planet got terraformed eventually.

Oh, i see. It didnt occur to me that it was the items that generated the pather interest. Did they do that before the latest hotfix_

Also, ill definitly check out the settings files then.

I'm not sure if the mod is bugged or whatnot, but my terraforming progrees is all over the place.

The progress on one of my planets was at 53% at one point, but when i came back a little later it was down to 13%.

Am i doing something wrong?

Seems like the latest iteration of the game really boosted the pather cell interest for most buildings. Even megaport gives 4 luddic path interest.

Having to blow up a luddic path base once a year isn't that much of a bother, but meh, i'm a lazy player.

Does anyone know which files i have to mess with to change the pather cell interest numbers for the different buildings/industries?
