I'm not sure, I read the most recent pages for all the mods I grabbed but don't think I came across any specific mentions of that being an issue there.

If it helps any: I previously ran a non-random campaign with most of the same mods which worked great, only Keruvim/Extratential Lanestate Union/Vayra's Sector are new in this run. Vayra's is probably the mod with the deepest changes here, though in simulating some new campaigns with it (same exact settings, 100x speedup multiplier) I saw no issues. The game always dies when November 29th, 207 comes around on my main game, but these test campaigns went past just fine.

No luck changing the dates for stuff to start happening in the Nexerelin configs either, sadly.

Random shot in the dark... Do you have anything running that adds an overlay to game/application windows? Sometimes those can do weird things with focus, and getting blank screenshots sounds kind of familiar there. Not sure what the freezing would be from there, though.

Also, does this happen if windowed? Could be worth a try. (or full screen if you normally run windowed)

I'm having a weird issue where the game will crash every time it tries to set up a route for a fleet, if I'm reading things right. This happens every single time, and all that's needed to cause it is for me to load my save and wait for a little while. The campaign's got about 10-15 hours into it already, if I had to guess, with no prior issues -- this came seemingly out of nowhere.

There's a few variations on the theme, but they all end the same way. Tried 6 loads and got crashes all 6 times, so I'm guessing my run is gone?

One thing to note: I raised "minimumPlanets" to 10 in Nexerelin's config while testing some stuff and accidentally created this whole sector with that active, which I read was problematic in past versions. In-game sliders were set to maximum, random sector. Not sure if this could affect anything here (especially as it was all running fine until now), but figured that might be worth mentioning.

I know that this is the risk in running mods, especially with some of the more bleeding edge stuff like unofficial Vayra's. Still hoping that someone will happen to know more here, though! Thanks for reading.

Just adding a quick comment here so people don't make the same mistake I did: Grab the newest build from the opening post, not the one from the most recent post. I was wondering why my game was crashing when I enabled Random Core Worlds, but it turns out I was just being silly and running an older version.

(sometimes the opening post is a bit behind, so I usually grab mods from the most recent release post instead if one is available -- in this case the OP is way ahead)

For what it's worth, I had no issues running 1.0.1 on my last non-random campaign. The mods I was using kinda buried it, but what little I saw looked solid. Should be good fun on a more Diktat-focused run!

Wow, playing with this was an absolute blast.

The Staple in particular was amazing, I got one early and it carried me for most of the game. Threw in a few of LowTech Armada's Nixie Arrays and I had a great time unleashing a massive hail of bullets on unsuspecting enemies.

If you'd ever consider making an energy variant of it... I slapped one together for my personal game (recolored texture, mounts swapped to energy, rear mount large missile, inner side mounts removed, way less armor/hull but a better shield/reactor, plasma drives) and that quickly became another favorite. Tossed some charged beams on and I had a great little sniper ship.

Slight issue with how your mods are packaged: You've got an extra folder between the main mod folder and the archive.

Example from your mods: .zip > "[0.95]Cari UI Lite 1.0.3" > "Cari UI Lite" > mod files
How most other mods do it: .zip > "Cari UI Lite" > mod files

With the setup that other mods use you can just extract their archives directly into the "mods" folder, and they'll be picked up by the game. With your mods the extra folder prevents the mod from showing up, as Starsector doesn't seem to like nested folders there. Manually dragging out the "Cari UI Lite" folder works fine, but this is easy to overlook if you're extracting a bunch of mod archives at the same time.

(thanks for making these, looking forward to trying Lite now that I've got it loading)

This seems to be due to this line in the "sounds.json" file:

Changing it to this fixes it:

The above should only be an issue on Linux (and maybe Macs?) due to them being case-sensitive in paths and filenames. Everything else seems to be fine so far, but I'll be sure to report back if I notice any other issues. Thanks for reading!

First of all, thanks for your mod! I've been enjoying it in starsector 0.9.

Explanation:
As a new player to starsector after 0.9, I've played through the new version several times now. Meanwhile, I have seen so much about Nexerelin around the community and I enjoy 4x style games, so I wanted to try that experience as well on a separate 0.8.1a starsector install. I just wish I didn't update this mod.
If an update breaks a save please make a noticeable notice next to the download button.
Now I lost days/weeks of my life because the save game won't load again.
Now I kinda lost motivation to start all over again where I left off.

Isn't downgrading to the version you were using before an option? You should be able to grab it from here: https://bitbucket.org/niatahl/sylphon/downloads/

This should also work for your other recently-updated mods, provided they still have the older version up. If not, ask for it in their topics or, if necessary, shoot me a PM -- I'm building a little collection, may still have them.

I've seen a similar issue when using Console Commands. If you have the "blockretreat" cheat active, it sometimes gets stuck until all fighters are cleared. If you have that enabled, try disabling it before you blow up the last normal enemy -- that might help things.

Make sure you remove old mod folders before adding new ones -- mixing files between versions can cause issues like yours. If you haven't tried yet, wipe the folders of the mods you updated and extract fresh files.
