When crossing the sector on a mission, to go exploring, or on other cool space captain business I like to see if there's any shortages that I can fill on the route and any surpluses that i can use to do so. Currently this information can be found anywhere, but is cumbersome to view.

There's a couple ways this can be done currently.
1.) Can be done anywhere, press F1 while hovering over a commodity (with access to a hypercoms)
2.) Dock at a market and use the market details screen to view markets with surpluses and shortages by each commodity

These options are sufficient but have limitations.
1.) they're not spatial. they provide a list of markets with shortages but you have to tab over the map screen and pan around to find what systems they correspond to, or rely on memory to figure out if theyre actually on routes you were planning to take for other reasons, or present a good opportunity
2.) they require access to a piece of the commodity to check. I can check on who needs supplies or fuel whenever I want, wherever I want so long as I have hypercoms. But in order to say, find out who needs heavy weapons I need to either carry around 1 unit of heavy weapons to use the F1 interface, or check at a market that either consumes or produces heavy weapons.

So, this information is apparently publicly accessible over hypercoms, however a trader needs to fulfill arbitrary criteria to access it this is inconsistent and lends quite a bit of busy work what should be a simple task of being able to see who's short on what and who's drowning in what.

Suggestions:
Add a "commodity" tab to the Sector Intel Map that shows pips over systems that contain surplus's or shortages, the tooltips for those Intel pips would display whatever commodities are available in surplus or needed in shortage, with quantity available/needed alongside price. These pips will expire once shortages/surpluses are resolved and can be pinned as important.

Allow us to view basic commodity information through the planet Intel screen (the one that shows the lore blurb and planet conditions) in the same format as the market interface (visual representation of how much of each thing this planet produces/consumes with red/green shortages/surpluses).

These would allow you to see the state of trade in the sector at a glance when looking over the map, and allow you to stick a pin in trade opportunities as you spot them via the important star. Would be very useful for getting spatially oriented on the commodity market to see if there's any good trades you can pick up on your trip back to your contact s(or to see if there's any shortages you can fulfill on your contact's market) or whatever other buissness your conducting in the sector. Something we can already do but in a cumbersome fashion.
