Suggestions / Longer ship names

First off, many thanks to the dev team for an excellent game! Just bought Starsector and it's a lot better than I was expecting, even at this stage of development.
This is a small, insignificant thing that's probably not as easy to change as I imagine, but it'd be nice if the ship name length wasn't quite as limited as it currently is. As a fan of the Culture books, it bugs me a little that there's not enough room for (poor imitations of
) Culture-style ship names.
