Hi everyone,
As I posted in the Java 64bit memory allocation thread, sometimes, when I try to quick save before a battle, get into the said battle, exit to the main menu while in the said battle to reload my previous quick save (I press the continue button), the saved game just wont load. It will get stuck at about 50-60 %. The music will start stuttering and turn on and off every 5 sec but the loading bar wont move anymore. My only option at that point is to force the game to close and when I go in the task manager, I realize that the game is not responding anymore and that ''Java 64 bit has stopped working and is not responding anymore''.
So yea... No choice but to close the game and restart it. I could deal with that if it only meant that it was a normal CTD for whatever reason, but the thing is that my save file gets corrupted. Every single time. I cannot count the number of times I had to start all over again because I could not load my save anymore. Even the backup save gets corrupted sometimes. I realized that it happens mostly when I am at mid game (around level 20-25).
Keep in mind that I am using SS+ with all the factions and no other mods listed outside the SS+ thread page. My game is running using the latest Java 64 bit version, I have 5 gigs of memory allocated to it and it uses them all (never seen a game so demanding on ram). I start the game with the .bat file and all the required modifications for it to work. My laptop is a gaming laptop (Asus G53JW-A1) with an i5 at a maximum of 3.2 GHZ and a GeForce 460M.
I created this topic because I am really desperate. Last night, my 5th game in a row got corrupted (was about level 26-27 and had just finished grinding rep with the balckrocks). I just cant stand it anymore... I dont want to start all over again. There must be a way to fix that and I am sure I am not the only one that has this problem... right?
Anyways, any help or insight on the matter would be so greatly apreciated!
