As someone told me stuff like this has already been suggested, but i'd like to share my idea anyways ^^;;
Firstly id love to have skills to make carriers more useful(perhaps acouple more carrier ships even?)
Like perhaps, a bonus similar to the weapon ordinance point reduction bonus, except it would be fighter supply consumption reduction? And for it there could be a skill that increases certain fighter attributes? And mabye even a hull mod that can add a makeshift flight deck for any other hull, with half the effectiveness as a actual carrier.
Or maybe a hull mod that can add 1/2/3 flight decks, depending on hull size. And there possibly could be a skill to increase the rate of fighter repairs/rearming/rebuilding.
Also(this is a big maybe) there could be ship(about the astral's size) with the ability to dock a single frigate size ship for rearming(maybe even repairing?), without the whole rebuilding thing. Or maybe with the rebuilding thing once you get the industry in the game.
As for the possible carrier hulls, i was wondering if you'd add high-tech destroyer and cruiser sized carriers, or perhaps even a outdated or mid-line frigate with a flight deck, kind of like uh...a flying flight deck. Maybe armed with a single small universal/projectile turret slot.

EDIT1: Also, just for fun, id love to be able to pilot a fighter...just so i can be a crazy crazy bastard <.<
EDIT2: heres the veryveryverybasic layout for the frigate carrier thing, just an reference more than anything. The idea is somewhat inspired by support frigates, from homeworld.
