Suggestions / Multi-button mouse support

Perhaps it's just my mouse (Logitech G500), but I can't seem to bind commands to my alternate buttons. I'd love to be able to flush flux from the mouse. I'm sure I can configure it with the Logitech profile software, but in-game solutions are always welcome. Would this be difficult to implement?
