I have been playing this game for a while and I really like to try out mods... But one thing that bother me is how most mods involving ships did not adjust their availiability (ie rarety). This result in markets and fleet composition to be flooded with modded ships (often the crappy ones) and the vanilla roster to be really hard to come by. Heck, when you have multiple ship mods installed, sometimes it can be really hard to find a ship you like, be it vanilla or not. Also, since 0.96a, no nations has access to all the generic BPs like low tech, midline and high tech, many mods did not bother to specify which vanilla faction has access to what so many of the modded ships are just availaible through blueprints or arms dealers...

What is the intended purpose of them? They give you a lot of blueprints in one go but are worth very little if you try to sell them. Individual blueprints are worth a lot more, but for some reason they are a much rarer find (at least in my current playthrough). Is it supposed to be that way?

Edit: In my current playthrough I must have found all the blueprints bundles vanilla has to offer multiple times, but very few single ship blueprints (often were already unlocked when I found them).

One thing that actually bugs me regarding officers is that we quickly get more than we can use (from escape pods) but we don't have the option to chose which are active. The extra ends up just collecting salaries up until we fire someone to free a slot. I don't see why we can't rotate who pilot ships and who go idle; if we are willing to pay to keep them around so be it. Also, why not give use the option to pay them the mercenary fee to use them?
