Is it possible to edit the location of a star system in the campaign file?
I’d like to move an entire star system on the map.

What value should I adjust?

Modding / Mod Request / Idea

Hi,

I'm not the best at ship loadouts and hull mod selecting.
Currently the base game has a check box to always have "Blast Doors" or "Reinforced Bulkheads"

I'd like to have a mod to make those two drop downs, so I can select what two Hull Mods I always want to add.
Additionally, I'd like some check-boxes or drop downs, that say something like: Focus on: "Beams" or "Ballistics" or "Mix" or "Fighters. And also "Armor",  "Shields" or "Balance"


This will just make the auto select a little more smooth for me.

General Discussion / End game

I was wondering what people are doing for the end-game?

I'm playing with a bunch of mods. 50 actually. All the major ones: Nexerelin, Vayra's Sector, etc.
I have 10 colonies and my fleet that can withstand the current invasion attempts. My monthly income is about $300K.

So, what next to do?
What would be considered a win. I assume this would be self imposed, since I don't think the game has any.

Hi,

So I'm adding more and more great mods...

I was wondering if anyone had any tricks to get a little more performance out of the game?
I play for about an hour, then I need to restart the game because of FPS drop.
(I'm playing on a map that's about 30% larger than usual.)

I currently have 53 active mods. I'm probably going to have to drop some factions.

Any suggestions as to what of my factions one would start with? (Most unbalanced, incomplete, etc.

General Discussion / Blueprint question

Hi,

Is there a way to globally lower the rate at what one gets blueprints?
I’m playing with a ton of mods.

Not sure if there is a setting that only affects blueprints vs. resources.
I feel like I get them way too easy.

General Discussion / Ship setup question

Hi,



Really having fun with this game  :)

So I’ve been playing for about a month now and know most of the game concepts pretty well.
I’m playing with a lot of mods. All the big new factions, utility mods, nex, Vayra and most content expansion mods.

So the hardest thing for me is ship setup.

I usually just use the predefined setups.
Is there a place I can see what the meaning of some of those are?  For instance what does attach vs assault mean. That’s are so many: standard, attack, assault, elite, improved, and a lot more I can’t recall right now.

Is there a mod, or would it be possible for someone to create a mod that optimize the setup/layout based on the mods/weapons I have? I think the game tries to do that, but was wondering if a good player could create and share some deadly setups that take in a bunch of the big mods.

Hi,

I have a few questions.

I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a way to change your faction color? (I'm using Nexerelin)

What is the shortcut key to select things fast in your inventory? I saw a youtube video of someone selling a bunch of things fast, but can't find it again.

How can I slow XP gain a little?

How can I make quest penalties a little harsher? (If you don't complete them)

Suggestions / Some Thoughts

So I'm new to this great game and am having a wonderful time.

I've been playing about a month now. Thanks to Fractal for this great game and to the Modders for making it even better.
I’ve always been a big fan of Space Ranger
This takes that one step further  :D

So in playing there are a few things that I really miss. This has probably been mentioned a lot elsewhere...

  • The game needs Graphs!
    I’d like to see faction strength, number of colonies/ships, power rankings over time, etc. Unless I’m totally missing it, I don’t see this anywhere.

  • A map overlay to show who owns what star system. This will be a little more treaky, since there can be multiple factions in a system, but I believe someone ‘owns’ the system, so they will get the color.

  • A way to add notes on the map. I’d like to add notes to remember to go back to certain start to explore stuff I left there.

  • I’d like to see a little more colony development, with more upgrade options.

  • I see the devs mentioned wanting to make ground combat a little more interesting. I wonder if doing what Space Rangers did is a little too much? A full RTS.

New to Starsector and having a blast!!

I'm playing with all the Mods Nemo suggests here (https://pastebin.com/nhm7AjhW) and a few more and having a ton of fun.

I have a vast collection of weapons stored up, since that to me is the most difficult part of the game. Doing ship load outs and knowing what weapons to use.

Not sure if this is the place to ask or if it's possible, but I'd love to have a way of keeping 10 of each weapon and then selling the rest. Is there a way to easily accomplish this?
