Ah, didnt figure it would be that since it says it need Vayra's Sector, or some mod I cant find on the index called 'Expanded Bounties' neither of which I have.

Suppose the MagicLib bounties count then. Neat.

Dunno if intended, but one of the 'high value' bounties in the bar mission board I just fight with like 6 goddamn Onslaughts, had the Gauss Cannon installed in their capitals.

Figured might as well mention it.
If its intended, neat, nice way to get a couple of them.
If not, well, this is a report. :P

I mean the weapons in storage. The weapons when selecting for a ship refit are OP sorted yeah.

Adding a dot at the start helped, but the weapon list (storage) also seems to sort by type, and only then alphabetically inside each type. So the Gauss Cannon for example is first, in the Large Ballistics. Oh well, best I can do to make theme easier to see unless I like, recolor the weapons neon pink or something. XD

Ah, shame. Yeeeah, the weapon list is alphabetical. :S

Wonder if I could tweak all the weapon names to like, have a dot at the beginning to force them to be first.

Got to admit I was initially wary of the mod assuming it was just OP weapons, and was explained by a friend that they are super rare, and not something you will be equipping entire fleets with.

Now I really like it as cool things to find.

Just an UI question... Is there ANY way to like, differentiate them from any other weapons when browsing the storage?
Like, I have so many weapons I would never be able to notice which of them are these superweapons without checking each weapon type for the ultra rare and legendaries.
Just found out I had the Gauss Cannon in there and didnt even know! :P

Look at Europe - it's falling apart, and people AREN'T effing like rabbits. But that's politics, so let's not go there.

Not only politics. There have been studies that show that the more educated people (And specially the women) are, the less children they have, as seen in many first world regions of Earth where they tend towards 1 child, sometimes 2, sometimes none.

By that consideration, we could argue some worlds in the sector have low replenishment rates, the ones that are nicer to live in and we could imagine have colleges and other such 'luxuries'.
On the other hand, we see a TON of worlds where the text we get from them depicts them rather bad to live in, or downright dystopian, like in Syndria's case where its a crowded mess of underground habitats.

So I can imagine there are worlds in the sector that are more akin to Africa in terms of reproduction rates, than to Europe.

Astral gates will likely be removed from the mod in 6.0.0 due to new content in vanilla.

On one hand, this pains me greatly, as I loved them as a feature.

On the other... hoo boy, what that implies for vanilla... I havent seen anything from the new update yet, but that sounds promising. :P

While its certainly true and canon that the sector is spiraling down into further and further collapse, I feel it is also right that they did have to do some stabilizing, as nations form, borders and alliances are made and set, and so on, rather than the 'free for all' starving madness that is said to have happened in the following decades to the collapse.

So while there's a constant loss of knowledge, at least populations dont starve and fleets are in place to protect and such.

And given how Jangala is praised to hell and back for being nice and habitable, I would imagine slightly making one of your worlds more habitable would give you a rather big strategic advantage.

But even if we accept the idea that the factions are far too busy fighting and posturing, what has stopped another freelancer like us or minor faction/group from trying?
Asharu is independent, they dont have horses in the posturing race, so they could surely carry out tugs and such minor projects without much help or interference.

Nevermind that solar shades and mirrors are ridiculously primitive and low tech things to make compared to spaceships. And thatss dicounting nanoforges and all that super tech they can get.

Again, not saying they can turn worlds into new earths, thats clearly a more dedicated job and with Eridani-Utopia off the sector, a no go.
But fixing planets being frozen or scorching hot is relatively speaking, peanuts for a space infrastructure owning planet.

They are banned in the Hegemony too and that didnt stop them asking for a gamma in the tutorial. :P

And tbf the League is stated to be a loose grouping of planets with no real central government aside from a vague 'we hate the hegemony' common idea, so that one of them is less opposed to cores is not impossible.

And yeah, we dont see any 'restarted' terraforming, but then again, I get the feeling we arrive in the game when the sector is finally stabilizing to some degree, and that previously its all been chaotic and not really lending itself for big civilian projects like terraforming.

Otherwise it makes little sense why no faction has explored the ruins and stations we find, why no one has colonized nice world right next to the core we sometimes find (Even in Duzhak), or why we, a single person, can foster a planet/system to become larger and more powerful than the capital systems.

Either we are 'super special player' or the factions have been so busy fighting and making sure their current worlds dont crash and burn to do much so far and its now that there's even the consideration of looking past the core worlds.

Plus if you are not the Hegemony, you can use an AI core to help you plan the fixing of Mairaath to at least a less hellish place.

You could in theory even tug the Lost Astropolis back into orbit to be part of the same 'population center', and then recolonize the abandoned one and now you have a world with two astropolis around it again.
And to prevent a repeat, maybe have the stations have a kill switch if their systems detect their orbits are going down FAST.

Are the same mods giving you an error, or others are?
If they align then I guess the issue is in their online location.

Is this Bitbucket change the cause for many mods suddenly failing update checks?

Spoiler
Like this:
[close]

Or is it a problem on my end? Cause I admit I am a bit worried about it. Just restarted because last run stopped saving properly, so I want to be sure its not some corrupt install on my end before I start again.

Is there a way to disable respawning factions midgame?

I kind of regret it now that I am getting swarmed by like, 10 fleets the dead faction pulled out of an inactive gate. XD
I already have enough babysitting my alliance and fighting off bounty hunters.

Unrelatedly, it would be great if we could 'finance' upgrades in allied planets, since the AI is an idiot about building and improving worlds. I would gift them all planet shields and starforts. :P

Is there any way to get the gate station to spawn say, where the fleet is?

I am currently saving and reloading if it lands in a weird place.
As it generally dumps it far beyond the planetsĀ” orbits.
