General Discussion / Lost Key
« on: November 24, 2013, 06:17:43 AM »
I preordered starfarer about a year ago, but I lost my key.  I don't ever remember signing up on the actual page, but I have the pre-confirmation email, from BMT, I must have deleted the next one.

Is there anything I can do to recover my key?  I emailed BMT to see if they could send me a confirmation email on the payment, but I don't know what to do.

Thanks

General Discussion / Re: Starfarer and Steam.

Steam is notoriously fickle about the indy games; their process is extremely opaque and there are a number of titles (eg SPAZ , Star Ruler) where the developers have had to make several attempts to get them onboard.

Often getting yourself onto Gamersgate (hell, they're selling the Alpha of Kenshi) and/or Impulse is enough, some people have gotten by by sending Gabe Newell and Doug Lombardi free copies.

The thing with steam is that they have very strict rules on how games are allowed to be placed in it.  They have a lot more security things and other requirements that others, like Impulse, don't have.  But, think about how many more people use steam then those.  I'm sure the game will have to be much closer to a full release state before steam would even consider it.  But, here's hoping that when it is they will put it up.

...your forum posters here have no idea what they are talking about.  I've had SPAZ on steam forever.  It was even one of the Christmas achievements.
Check date of posts... ;)

:P  The later ones still talk about it even after it was.

Ok, I like were the game is heading (and I've pre-ordered), but I had to just register to at least say that your forum posters here have no idea what they are talking about.  I've had SPAZ on steam forever.  It was even one of the Christmas achievements.
