The mod contains some pirate ships, it possible to add them to the current roster of pirate ships that are currently in the game?

  • If you want to add ships to a faction, copy the vanilla faction file from the vanilla faction folder, over to the mods faction folder.
  • After that, open the faction file you copied over, and delete everything except the ship roles.
  • Delete the ship roles your not going to edit, and the variants and fallback in the roles you want to edit.
  • After that, add the variants you want into the ship roles you want them to be in.
Are you Talking about THOSE Pirate Ships?

Will require you to start a new game.
Tested and it can be played with all of the current mods without any apparent problems(at least while I was playing).
Still have to add some stuff, and adjust the market(it's a tad out of whack atm but it works).
Open to any suggestions, especially about market/system balance.

Hope you enjoy it  ;D (Wish i could update the thread title).
Which Version is this for?
Edit: Nevermind, I see the filename is 0.65.2a.

It's funny, Flash, a lot of your stuff reminds me of other universes:

- All of the 'rectangular'/no-bits-sticking-off ships look like Hiigaran ships (must be the stripes)
- The Calm looks like either a Drake from EVE's Caldari faction, or like IFed's Auriga
- The Vapor, Hayle, and Haze similarly remind me of the top-down perspective on Caldari Merlins and/or Caracals.

Not that I am accusing you of 'stealing' design cues (and now, with me saying it out loud, it sounds like I'm doing just that and trying to save face, I assure you, I'm not), but... yeah, when I first saw the Calm, my first thought was "That's an Auriga!" and then "OH MAN SOMEONE'S RESURRECTING IFED AWESOME!" Then I saw that you weren't.

And now that I've read some of the other replies, I can definitely see that, if anything, their biggest resemblance is to the Neutrino Corp... I wonder why...  :P

He Literally took the Design of the Frost Wanzer (Front Mission) and Put it in here. Diable Avionics is even a Company IN the Universe of Front Mission.

(Btw, not complaining)

FFS has a godly transport 150 cargo and 150 fuel, fast, tons of weapons, hull and shielding. One can easily upgrade it to 360° shields, enhanced engines and pacing some nasty weapons to boot.
AND low fuel consumption!!!
It's also Classified as a Frigate, funnily enough.

Besides their Freighter, I love their Carrier, 2 Slots from a Destroyer Hull? Yes Please! Decent Point Defence too, aswell as the 360 Shields and Speed.

FFS Ships have always been Nasty.

I've done some fun stuff with their Missiles, a Justice Class Destroyer has 8 Small Missle Mounts, and with that, you can destroy a Novgorod Crusier with a Full Salvo of the Right Missile. They suck against the AI Fortress Shields of the UIN though.

Apparently you can do that with Devtools. There is a Thread in General that would interest you.

Can you add all the previous stars and the aliens because i really miss all the juicy stuff from the previous version! The FFS ships, alien ships, pirate ships, all capital ships are all gone! and there is so much less stuff to do :( i would really enjoy if you could bring everything back and possibly make a new russian massive ship and a massive american ship and add a mothership for the AI that would be awesome! btw other than that everything is fine really, i just wish you add these things and bring back all the old amazing stuff! oh and please put back the alien mothership becasue in the last version it was only in a mission and it was disapointing...

More seriously though, I can't find an Astrakan at all (RSF carrier) and fighter acquisition for RSF is really hard, loads of omsks and novgorods but the fighters are seemingly rare-  is this intended?

Hmm...
- VNS faction file made (+ all graphics), added among the factions in factions.cvs
- VNS single system made in econ, added to economy.json
- strings edited, descriptions for everything (ships, stations, planets, weapons) added, faction ship names added
- all ship and weapon graphics added
- Ships hulls and variants added. Weapons and modules checked to be from current Ironclads
- system added to starmap.json


Am I missing something?


EDIT: GOT IT TO WORK.
Thanks Okim. The only thing not working is one hullmod.


Hey Trashman, I searched for VNS and found your Sub-mod. Seems dead though, you still working on it? Looks pretty good.
