i want that ship so badly in my game. sadly the ONLY time i have seen it is as a derilict ship and it was too damaged to be salvageable. could only get scrap from it. i have never seen it in a market... ever..

I saw it in market......once.  However after ages of waiting I cheated and used the console commands mod to spawn it.  I hate doing that but I really wanted to finish up my showcase of the the ships in the DA mod.

Just finished up part 4.  Let me know your favorite loadouts for the Pando.

I opted for 4x Hexafire cannons set to alternating and was not disappointed.  The automatic shotgun effect was good fun.

As to what form those will take I can't say, but it's clear the game intends to add long term goals.

Similar to the Nexcrelin mod.  Or Mount and Blade in space.

To answer your specific question, I  don't know.

That said, if you want easy access to the highest end ships you'll have to take a commission with someone  to open up their military market. Even a relatively low stability market that you have full military access to will offer high end ships for sale, including capitals. Otherwise, it's all just down to luck (sometimes black markets have certain caps for sale, but not at the frequency of military markets) and some ships are easier to salvage than to buy.

Fair nuff.  I'm at cooperative with Diable Avionics, I just need to keep rolling the dice to get that Dreadnought.  I saw it in the market much earlier in my campaign, will just keep checking.

How effective do you guys find the engage/regroup fighter command?  It doesn't always seem to me that they heed this order all that much.

I ask because I really need nice capital ship to purchase, but I wonder if all my black market trading has hosed the market and made it no longer available.  Or is there no connection?

General Discussion / How important are officer traits?

I've been reading some more threads and it seems like the cautious/aggressive traits are pretty influential, is that true?

I've never really paid much attention to anything other than officer skills.  Do you guys match officers traits to certain ships, if so how?

@Tarti: Mind telling me what's Pandemonium doing near Warren in Corvus? :O

I thought the sector was always generated proceduraly?  Or are there parameters for that generation that prevent what you're talking about?

Small update to fix the few reported gripes: the Raven and the Warlust wanzers have been slightly nerfed, the Strife ones have been slightly buffed. Additionally a buch of weapons are now slightly more flux efficient to fire. All the details in the changelog.

 - Warlust:
   . Sniper gun damage nerfed by 25% overall, added limited ammo with half fire-rate regen.
   . Removed Maneuvering Jets ship system.

 - Raven
   . Removed chest Glaux Lances.

 - Strife:
   . Added 50% damage reduction to the armor only while the system is active.

 - Vapor:
   . Modified the system as a stop-gap fix until 0.8.1 releases.

 - Arassaut:
   . Flux per shot reduced to 35 from 50.

 - SRAB:
   . Flux per shot reduced to 900 from 1100.

 - GlowTusk:
   . Flux per shot reduced to 750 from 900.

 - Burchel:
   . Flux per second raised to 300 from 275.


BUGFIXES/IMPROVEMENTS:

 - Removed Universal Decks from ships without regular flight decks.
 - Renamed the "Universal Decks" hullmod "Wanzer Servicing Gantry". (There, happy?)
 - Minor descriptions fixes.
