Quick suggestion. The ship mastery mod allows ships you've lost in battle to become salvageable derelicts after losing a battle, which I think is great to avoid save scumming when losing important vessels like Sierra or Songless.

However, when Songless is recovered the AI captain is lost. If there isn't already, could there be a way to restore the officer? perhaps at Mia?
IIRC Sierra is available when her ship is recovered.

Pitching in here, also getting really bad lag spikes from explosions and stuff even in small battles.

Regarding Questions of Loyalty module.

I'm being chased by a pirate fleet that wants to engage, however I'm also commissioned with the pirates.
When it reaches me, the only option I have is to open a comlink, or disengage with a story point. If I didn't have any story points, pretty sure I'd be locked there.

I think I'd prefer being allowed to attack fleets of the same faction. I've dug a little through the files to see if there was a config to enable it but didn't find any.

This mod is single handedly causing my battle simulations (menu too) to be locked at 25 FPS, trying to figure a way around it but I'm pretty stumped.

Apart from using roughly 700mb of vram, SVC isn't particularly performance intensive.

Please follow general guides for performance improvements for Starsector.
You can find them on the forums and on the unofficial Starsector Discord channel, where there is also a technical support channel where you can actively look for help.

Yes please disregard, It was an issue with GraphicsLib. Probably a common issue, just been a while since I starsectored.

I don't know what the deal is, but it seems that combat scenes are locked to 25 fps.
The campaign layer run great at 120, but even simulating just 1 dram tanker the fps is 25.

Same thing with the menu, locked at 25 fps.

However.. If I spam the 'Next tip' button, after like 10-20 tips the FPS jump back up to 120.
