So is the Infection at a standstill right now lol?

Eeeehhh, why are you thinking something like that?

(No, it's not :))

Haven't seen any new submissions for infected ships in awhile, looking back.  :P

Glad to finally see another person using BSF sprites to their potential.

Usually when people try to sprite with them they forget about shading and the fact that you can rotate/chop up pieces to your hearts content.

Great work man!

I may have to get back into spriting sometime.  These look pretty fun.

I use BFF sprites to bash all my normal SF ships anyways, hehe.  I do heavy Photoshooping to them though, to make them more Starfarerey.

Also, do these have a place in your mod?

Yes they are very similar, but one has a longer launch platform.

Those are very cool, but according to someone  ::) bashes arent allowed (and that person is not me)

Actually I believe bashes are fine as long as they don't LOOK like bashes.  All my stuff is bashes, but I edit them so heavily you can most times not tell. :P

Edit: I have also put the loading ui in the dropbox.

Only gripe I have is that the dude doesn't look too pirate-ey.

Otherwise fantastic.  :)

Here's my first bio-weapon creation.  The Spore Launcher.

In order to better spread the infection, an evolution came about.  Spores are jettisoned from the infected vessel at high speeds, and smash themselves into uninfected ships where they latch on and burrow into the hull.

Launcher <---> Projectile Spore

I've been wondering that for quite some time, and also if it's possible to make a missile that explodes into different missile sprites.

Really you should just get the sprites from it, and edit them together with Photoshop or any other free editor you want.

awsome looking  ;D i like how you changed the color of the armor of the ship

Yup,  I wanted it to look like most of the power was offline, and that to me warranted a darker overall color.

And here's the completed Devastator.  I wanted to go with a not completely necromorphed ship, because like (sorry I forget who) said, I think some of the ship should retain visibility, just to show that it's not a completely new ship, but an infested one.  It's not completely taken over, but in the process of becoming so.  That's not to say we can't have a few completely infested ships.

**Edit**  Also I've found that the smudge tool is especially helpful in helping to "connect" pieces of biomorph together.  Helps keep a more organic feel and flow going.

It almost looks like a crab. :)

Some kind of evil demented crab perhaps, haha.
