Has anyone experienced where you're commissioned by a faction in an alliance, and when that alliance makes peace with another alliance you lose 10 reputation with one of the factions? In my case I'm playing as an Iron Shell commission and everytime we peace with another alliance I lose 10 reputation with the hegemony, for seemingly no reason. Weird.

It has to do with how dissenting votes play out in the diplomacy model. Iron Shell voted for peace, Hegemony voted to continue the war, peace won but Hege's mad and as an IS-flagged captain-contractor you get hit with the political fallout.

Is 8.3.8 RC2 save compatible with 8.3.7? A short clarification regarding save compatibility in the OP would probably be appreciated by many.

You should be careful if you have one of the old Skysplitters built. I had two of them in my fleet stash of my homeworld and had to do some save file editing in order to recover the save. It wasn't too bad, thankfully, because I'm comfortable with XML and knew in general what I was looking for, but it's not strictly save-compatible due to the changes made in that hull.

1x Flagship Onslaught, configured for PD and shields/flux.
2x Apogee, Locust + Tachyon

These three get in the front and take up space. Apogees with locusts and tachyons will be handling all your anti-fighter/frigate needs, while the Onslaught clears the missile spam.

4x Herons + Bombers. I happen to like the Khopesh for dealing with fixed targets, but even piranhas will do. You need all 12 wings to saturate station PD reliably.

If you need to be able to keep the enemy fleet off your case while the main fleet goes to work, SO Champions with Hammer Barrages and Plasma Cannon are IMO some of the best bang for the buck out there, particularly if you can get an aggressive missile/shield/readiness officer in place.

There are three pieces of evidence. You need 2.

One comes from talking to a League Intelligence officer after making just enough of a splash among the anarchists where Coureuse used to live.
One comes from following up on a bar rumor about Groombridge Habitat.
One comes from paying off the Station Commander of the local pirates.

Once you have 2 pieces of evidence, you can bully the League Archon until she snaps.

The PPT issue is what Hardened Subsystems are for. It still only ends up with about 2 minutes of uptime before you start burning CR%, but it also slows the burn rate of CR% once the PPT has run out.
