I couldn't wait to install this mod, literally, and put it into a game already running. It looks like it meshes well with most things, but I seem to have lost the ability to build "Aquaculture" industries on archipelago worlds. Thank you anyways for the flavor and function this adds!

Wait, what? Can you randomly generate portraits from AI-assisted programs or tools?

I uh, I'm kinda new here and don't know the rules about external links but yeah.
I use this thing: , primarily to make NPC portraits for my genesys games.
There's a drop down menu to make My Little Ponies, and it has parameters for the AI algorithms, you can make some pretty cursed stuff.

I can't wait to have access to the beautiful fireworks launchers again!

I feel like Starsector 0.95 has enough content that I'm happy playing it without Nex, at least a couple of times.

Anyway the updated Nex (basic compatibility + a few new features) is now in the playtesting stage, and I plan to release a closed beta in the near future. So a release could come (though I'm not promising anything) in two weeks, even if it's a bit rough-edged.
The really big update will be the one after that, though.

Sounds awesome! If there's a way that we can help playtest the preliminary release to make the full one stronger, you have an army ready to provide logs and reports!

The Einhanders are kinda scary in my experience.
They remind me of the larger Neutrino Corp strike craft, not quite a frigate, moreso a corvette, for sure a grade above an ordinary fighter.

This portrait pack has already given me just what I expected out of it, interacting with combat chatter wonderfully!
It's only been a day and I've already been BM'd by an Eevee as my cruiser overloaded and got cut in half.

Honestly, I was looking for portrait packs the day before this released, and thought "This game has been out forever, I'm surprised there isn't a furry/pony portrait pack." I mean we got anime and cybermodding, biomodification and perhaps even xenos aren't far off. Are furries considered blasphemous by the Luddic Church/Path?

Perhaps it's fate, and perhaps, If you do think this heresy, you can erase the files that make them show up in your preferred factions, and have your own little crusade.


Starsector is not complete without Nexerelin

I've only just got Starsector. Played around 12 hours. Started looking at mods and then saw this and got mega excited.
Then realized it's not updated to this version yet. :(

But from seeing all the comments about people saying Starsector isn't the same without this mod, i'm quite excited to try it once it's updated

You won't regret it! I thought I could tackle the sector without it, and I think I tackled it too hard! With Nexerelin, at least decivilized planets wont stay dead-
Be careful, or like me you might accidentally kill the sector!

Honestly don't think I can play Starsector without Nexerelin. We've waited years for the update, we can wait a little longer
I can't agree with this sentiment more. On the plus side, it gives some of the other mods breathing room to update before the rush!
