Mod revival? Always nice to see! Though....was the previous author contacted (people tend to get possessive, even if the work is abandoned)? Or are they gone forever, so, unlikely to care?

Phase Lance is actually decent against shields....it easily overwhelms most frigate and destroyer shields.....

As one of those people who discovered Star Sector, through the teachings of Sseth, I really wish this game was advertised better....Before then, I never even heard of this gem, and I love games like this, Space Rangers is still one of my favorite games!

...out of curiosity, how would space monsters even work? There was an interesting mod that added snake-like ships and punching ships....would it be something like that?

Honestly, I would have preferred if Prometheus II was a real suicidal ship. Lower the cost of deployment to 28, replace hangars with more large weapon mounts, have inbuilt mod that lowers range (to 400?) but raises fire rate, lower armor and health to increase speed to cruiser levels at least, and a hullmod that let's your ship detonate upon death, dealing heavy damage.
Now, this ship would have let you fight for Ludds glory!

This mod is a godsend.....it definitely needs more exposure to the masses....the regular one is useless, it gives you dozens of fake points of interest and has you running around the system looking....this modded one actually helps!

You need a decent fleet to take out the enemies of the quest though.....Ziggurat won't fall to a few mules and Shepherds......
