I offer you this sprite if you wish it. Was built as a capital for pirates in the past, feel free to modify it if you want.

oh man that things brings back some memories of the olden days of starsector lol
yeah definitely was a favorite of mine when I built it, gave it a bad shield damage ratio and a coverage gap on the rear, but it was one of the only large ballistic turret ships so definitely filled a niche, had lots of short overlapping arcs with weapons instead of wide.arcs with a few weapons

Been playing around with this, and it seems that the NPC planets don't ever seem to grow, they get a population indicator to 100% but never actually move up a population category
(i.e size 3 colony never becomes size 4 colony)

So if anyone is interested I am currently working on some new sprites and modifying a few public ones
(thank you members Spiral Arms II The continuation of my previous sprite dump.
Would love to build a new mod with someone if they happen to be interested.

The theme of the faction is to make them a bit on the midtech side.  Decent mix of ballistic and a few ballistic/energy and a few ballistic/missile mounts.

Looking to Jam a single size 7 colony orbiting an ice Giant

Has anyone figured out the star_gen_data.csv?

I am trying to figure which value to modify to make planets more likely, and habitable ones a bit more common.

@Medikohl:  Those are pretty neat.  I think the big one could use a few touches here and there; I might mess with that.  I really like the red one and the asymmetric one :)

@xenoargh, Thanks for the thoughts, taking the occasional stab at kitbashing, on average I spend about 5-10 minutes on each ship, just getting the getting what I see as obvious kitbashes knocked out from the newer ships.  Also envisioning the red one as a sort of armored fuel tanker of some sort.
