I am also surprised why this one portrait pack is not that popular or not many commenting in here. This is by far the best what we have now (of course in my opinion) because a lot of factions have silly looking or too realistic portraits. The anime is okay in some other places but I prefer in specific games and not in this one. Sadly some faction mods contains anime characters which makes me not want to use it simply because I would like to see this style or the original or a close variant for everyone. I hope soon more portraits will be added I still need to experiment for my own faces but I have not the full version of this ai tool to make similar portraits. The only option for me to do some after work on paint.net or in gimp and make slight changes to alter characters.

I wish some other mod makers could use this tool for similar portraits in their faction mods then the game can have a lot of unique characters.

I personally would want to make ships, factions and graphics for different planets to fulfill something unique desire to look original. The major problem is I do not know coding languages and only can "alter" some kind of files to playtest it. Other problem is a lot of tutorials does not tells the skill set what you need to start a project, without knowing coding and mainly json-java is a bit hard.

I like this face pack because it fits to the game also would like to see much more of it in the game with some variations. I like the originals too but those somehow not looks as great as these ones. I would like to make someday a similar pack but I do no have this ai option creation and my paint skills are not that great neither. I personally would like to have 100 or so pictures each faction and additional factions with their own portraits. Also seeing this relatively a fresh portrait packs. Sadly to me so much faction has no portrait pack with it or have but animes which is not bad but I prefer what fits to the game really.

I tested the mod but not detected any issue but with combination of mods like HMI and their separated submods my game crashed but I removed the HMI mods so now all is seems okay. The log files cannot be opened for me because it appears bugged and freeze instantly if I try to open it.

Once most mods will be updated to the newest version then I will be able to play with my tons of faction-ship mods aswell. I will further test the terraforming mods to make space stations and adding various buildings on it with console commands to test if it is work too.

Absolutely no pressing or anything at all and I hope the creator of this mod could fix the compatibility in this mod because for me this mod is an essential gameplay mod with colony management and terraform various planets around the sector. The only thing is certain the new version of the game does not let me use the mod at all otherwise it won't run. Anyone who can make it work and test could give feedback so the mod will be available again. Thanks for the mod and good luck with the next update.

Actually I haven't but once I will get into my pc I will try to replicate the issue. I only used 3 mod, the lazy lib, magic lib and the console commands.

- Okay, I get to my pc now and only shows in a small widow - Starsector 0.9a-RC10 / Fatal: index: 0, Size:0 - Check starsector.log for more info.


I didn't have the option to use the paste bin and it not saves what I copied there so I just share this link.

This mod looks pretty cool, but for unkown reasons the magic lib just crash the game so every mod what needs it sadly skippable by me.

Actually Like this idea and it would be nice to have more specialization options and a deeper crew dynamics. Personally think rank up a crew and reach the elite status with them would be nice also would be nice to have five-ten types of crew also more type of soldiers. Not tested the ground combat yet in the game but something similar would be nice what have in master of orion 2.

I guess the devs wanted more fluid gameplay that's why this is simplified otherwise it would be more harder to achieve something. I personally would not mind because I like the harder games. Also promoting crew members into officers would be nice too like they reached enough experience or you just need officers for your ship so it will be given an option to hire some as officer.
