Hey, for some reason it's giving me this error: https://imgur.com/a/8IQkIY2
The version I'm using is 1.8.1, and for some unfathomable reason, going in mod_info.json and manually editing it to say it's version 1.7.4 made the game boot perfectly fine.

Update ScanThoseGates, a small mistake on version checking by the author made any version that wouldnt be 1.7.x crash.

I want to make a quest for the game, but a cursory search on both the forums and the unofficial wiki didn't seem to show any resource or tutorial for this kind of modding. Is there any sort of guide that I could follow to get started? I want to make a dialogue-heavy quest along the lines of the ones introduced in the latest version of the game, that can start randomly on an unsettled planet that possesses a certain condition (e.g. decivilised subpopulation), and both gives rewards along the way and influences interactions with fleets and markets after its conclusion.

Hi - sorry about that! Generally speaking, major updates are not save-compatible with the previous version - too much stuff changes for that to really be doable.

I have downloaded 0.95a and installed it on top of the old files, but the game refuses to load any saves from the old version (0.9.1a). The attached picture shows the error it gives me when I try to open any of my saves. Is there a way to solve this? Thanks in advance.

Hey so I may just be stupid but every time I try to open my game with the mods activated I receive this error message.
"Fatal: com.fs.starfarer.api.SettingsAPI.getScreenScaleMultF()
Check starsector.log for more details"
I read that this was a common issue for running the mod on higher resolutions, however, when I tried to locate the settings file as stated in the original post I am unable to find it, I have looked through literally all starsector files and not a single one is named that, or anything similar. Can I get some help, please?
I'm getting the same error and it's driving me crazy, is there anything we can do to correct it?
