CALLING ALL MODDERS, SPRITERS, CODERS AND LORE-WRITERS
I have an idea, Which I'm going to attempt to create.
It will be fully community driven, Which means YOU get to be a part.
Anyone can join in, Literally ANYONE. Just make sure you post here, Doesn't matter if you're a new member or not!
You don't even HAVE to sign up as a team member!
Got something that doesn't quite fit right in your mod? Did some things for practice that you abandoned? Throw it in! Credits WILL be given to ALL
I aim to create the ultimate mod, But I'll need all the help out there.
It is planned to have:
- Waaay longer ranged weapons
- Less damage dealing weapons, to make engagements last longer
- Massive amounts of new, "Vanilla" styled ships
- Dynamic trading/Economy
- "Station" battles
- Ship and weapon damage effects
And MUCH MORE

So basically this is a mod where you put everything from the modding forum? This is interesting but didn't Uomoz's corvus mod and Exerelin are somewhat already doing this? Or will this be an "encyclopedia" of useful stuffs for every modders?
Still, i'll be glad to help. Just don't expect too much from me as i am already helping Pelhamds for his BFG mod.

No, it's not like that. Think a mass community mod, based on people contributing whatever they want. I'm aiming for total rebalance, also including a 0 fleet point setting per ship. That way, you have to coordinate on a massive scale

Awesome! Mainly needing coders and spriters. Lore will come at the end, unless you can write lore for each new sprite, that'd be great

added a proof of concept version, Give it a go. It's alot more difficult than the vanilla game, Takes twice as long to take down a target, With all weapons having twice the range

I've got about 2 dozen vanilla kitbashes that may or may not see the light of day in a mod. Could I contribute them? Will provide a couple of examples if you want any.

Edit 1: This is actually a full ship pack mod I've been making, so if you just want the whole thing I can give you that instead and you can pick and choose what you takes your fancy. I'll say my balancing is probably far from perfect, and some of my sprites are definitely better than others.

I'm in need of a few missile destroyers, cruisers and frigates. I was thinking a modified Valkyrie troop transport sprite should do it?

I did actually try making a missile destroyer of sorts way back before we had built-in weapons, it was kind of underpowered because of ammo limitations and buyable missiles with plentiful ammo would obviously have been OP on other ships, but since we have built in weapons now maybe it could be possible to build multiple fixed variants of the same missile destroyer hull with specialisation?
Anyway, I'll give your ideas a try at the very least, usually my kitbashes are not born out of a particular goal but I'll see what I can do should you wish it.

Oh and the magellan is the missile destroyer I was referring to, might be clear from the number of hardpoints it has.

Just d/l'ed the ship pack, Would appear your missing alot of weapons within the variant files :P

Absolutely, any accessible content that I post here is implicitly free to use (though credit is appreciated where given), though since those are kitbashes I'm not sure what of Alex's EULA applies.

I've got a few vanilla-mod ships I've been trying to think of a mod for them. So far it's just labeled as 'Vinya Collection'.
I could send them in and you can just slam them on the mod? I think my .csv files are in old-Uumoz format though.
One of these is my animated Wolf, aka. Fenrir. I'll crank out a few more ships before sending them in though. The systems also will require LazyLib

Progress is awesome! Got a crap ton of new ships in, rebalanced WAR, Added a unique twist to all missile systems to make them more powerful
but now,

Trading, IE dynamic resources that have different, fluctuating prices and sell prices per station that change dynamically

Gems
Raw ore - multiple types and materials
Spare Parts
Hull chunks
Etc
