Title: Are empty mount covers still planned ?

This is really neat, yet it's not in 0.95 and I haven't seen any news about it since. I'm still looking forward to it (and for it become the standard for mod sprites too)

I'm sorry if I missed more recent discussions about it, I looked everywhere I could think of.

No they're not? Staring at my Paragon with a ton of empty slots in lightly-modded 0.95 and it looks like swiss cheese... lotta empty holes!

As someone who routinely leaves slots empty I'd love covers. Or, if we're being totally nutty, I'd like a 1 DP module which increases ship armor by 10 points or something similarly measly that you could use to fill slots instead...

I... never tried to see what ships look like outside the refit screen. I'm guessing the refit screen shows uncovered mounts so they're more obvious. Thank you, you just made my day.

This is a big LOL from me. Been in the game for years, how did you never notice? Guess you really don't care much for the feature since you never tried looking during combat. Hahaha

On the contrary, I care to the point I've not left a mount empty since several versions of the game. At some point I couldn't stand seeing empty mounts anymore so I always fill them with cheap PD, and enemy ships never have empty mounts that I know of, that or I'm too busy destroying them to notice.

Lmao how did I never notice that!! I think I just assumed that was how uncovered mounts looked. The slight color difference from the original hull was enough to throw me off, but looking at the fitting sim vs. combat I've no clue how I also missed that.
