Title: Where are The Expanse mods?
Post by: McTrigger on September 24, 2021, 04:50:26 AM
Seems weird, I would have thought this game would be crawling with them.

Also, what would the Roci, Donnager and Nauvoo ship types look like in Starsector?   ;D

Starsector ship and weapon sprites are rather distinct, so either you make a low quality mod by using some third party assets, or you make your own. If you make your own, why would you make sprites you don't fully own?

Oh didn't realize what a profitable industry Starsector modding was.

Expanse ships will likely have the same core issue as 40k ships, in that they don't look that distinct from the top down.

If you want to make an expanse ship pack, there are some great tutorials on how to do it!

Rather than being snarky, you could always make your own sprites and mod?

Starsector is top down. Certain IP mods look terrible from a top down angle. You can use 3D models from a top down perspective but they generally look terrible.
